Vera vs. Shogun

I know shogun has more in ring experience but i really think this would be one hell of an exciting fight. They both bring it every fight and have styles which would make for a great fight. I think shogun would win but vera would deffinetly have a chance in this fight. Any thoughts on this??

Wow....
Muay Thai practicioners
BJJ Brown belts
Good wrestlers
Both very young

I gotta give it to Mauricio because of his experience and the type of fighters he's faced.

I gotta go with Shogun in this one. Vera has yet to beat a top ten heavyweight. Victories over Mir and Assuerio Silva are impressive but Shogun has beaten Little Nog, Arona, and a host of other top 205 pounders. Moreover, if they were to fight at a catch weight of 210 or so, I'd have to think that Shogun would dominate. Vera has a lot of potential, but thus far he is unproven.

Oh hell yes!

Man I would love to see this fight. I have to go with Shogun as the favorite, but I would give Brandon a decent chance. This would be a "shit my pants" type fight.

i'd have to go with shogun on the experience factor. vera still hasn't fought anyone better then assuerio and post accident mir. but i really give him a pretty good chance. maybe 70/30 to shogun.

Unless Vera beats a top fighter than he has not proven himself to even stand a chance against Shogun.

I agree with the last post...Vera aint beat anyone worth mentioning in the same breath as shogun.

Give Vera 2 more fights against descent opposition and then we will be talking.
