Seems odd that someone with such a huge ego and barely any class could care less about Bruce Lee considering what he stood for. I'm not saying his emotion is fake or anything, I just find it interesting how he finds a connection when in reality Bruce Lee probably wouldn't be fan of Hardy's representation of martial arts.

You have to take into account that 90% of what Hardy says is just mental trolling. He's trying to get under an opponents skin and gain an advantageous position in the fight... which ironically I think Bruce would approve of.

To some extent but I think it would be silly to think that some genuine personality traits do not shine through during the pre fight hype. To the extent Hardy seems to respect martial arts I can't understand why he's such an ego-maniac. Then again, this is sport, entertainment and martial arts all thrown in together so it's certainly fair game.

Easy explanation. He's a british fighter who studied traditional martial arts in a monastery. Perfect combo for egotistical + traditional respect.
