Interesting article.

The fact that Frank thinks he is the Michael Jordan of MMA seems a little bit eccentric. I would say that Randy and a few other guys might be a little bit beter suited.

I don't know a whole lot about Kurt Angle...and I'm kinda proud of that...I know he is a wrestler...but that's only because I looked at this thread....therefore I don't care to see this happen...

That was a damn good interview though

His wrestling was amazing once but he hasn't used it for a long time. Hurling yourself off cages doesn't give you good conditiiong and his neck is as brittle as if it were made of lego.

As has been said many times on this forum, if he'd gone into MMA right after the Olympics he could have done very well (his wrestling was, presumably, on a whole other level from Koscheck's). But now it is too late. I just hope he doesn't end up getting paralyzed or something.

nice point - from a marketing persepective, even if they dont want to make it a habit, its a good move. Personally I dont like the idea of pro wrestlers without MMA experimence being invited to the UFC. In this case, the guy hasnt done any real wrestling (ie in Real competivie events etc ) in many years and has no MMA experience. All logic says he would be schooled. How many Ex-olympic wrestlers are out there, 10 or 15 years removed frm the sport ?? SHould they get a shot. No.

OK, I know I've been harping on this around the forum, but goddamnit, it has to be said again.
i love Kurt, he's an amazing athlete and a kickass entertainer, but he's way, way, way too F'D up for MMA.
If he had joined this game instead of pro wrestling 10 years ago, he'd probably be mentioned in the same breath as Couture. But he didn't. He went to WWE and now his neck is screwed. Real, real bad. So bad he shoulnd't be wrestling, let alone fighting.
He's his own worst enemy, wanting to get into MMA after WWE released him, partially because of a painkiller addiction. Seriously, how can people say they wanna see this guy fight?
Anyone who lets him into an MMA ring is a piece of crap.
