You can see Eddie Bravo get the tiwster in a grappling match, but it was an illegal move so he had to let it go. This was 8 years ago, I bet he loved seeing the Korean Zombie nail Garcia with it in front of the whole world
I wrestled in high school and was a big time leg rider. I used to use something similar to that all the time. It is illegal to grab just the head, so I would grab the head and opposite arm with the opposite leg in. Guaranteed pin if you could get it.
I would have never thought to just grab the head. I can't wait to add that to my jitz arsenal.
Eddie Bravo is the man.
Edit: Just watched Bravo's video. I love that he talks about the source being wrestling. That was my bread and butter.
Yah that looks painful...lolz! How's training going... When's your next fight buddy.
Its going to be awhile bro. I am in the process of deploying with the National Guard and I thought I would be gone right now so I droped out of the fight in 3 weeks. Now we are not leaving till the end of June....pretty pissed off at that but oh well....It was a really big card on the coast
I knew those stretches and some forms of those cranks but damn a couple of those leg locks looked out right nasty!!!!!! Ive got caught in banana split before lol not fun
Haha yeah the banana split (or electric chair for us guys who didn't come from wrestling) RULES. It's my #1 transition, I always end up on my back due to my shitty wrestling and I can get the lockdown quick, the electric chair/banana split is so natural from there.
I've never seen it in a wrestling match though. For you wrestlers: how similar is it? what position would you get it from?
