Best fights of 2011

What has been your favourite fight of 2011?

Ones that come to mind.
Edgar v Maynard 2 (We learned Frankie can take a punch or two)
Diego v Kampmann (What a war)
Ebersole v Lytle
Barboza v Njokuani
Mcdonald v Figueroa

I personally could not believe the Frankie and Gray rematch.
Was amazing to see live as i was at that event.. also considering people expected it to be a boring fight.

I also loved the Jeremy Stephens v Marcus Davis fight. Lil Heathen was clearly down on the scorecards 2 rounds to nothing.. until in the 3rd he threw an overhand right which sent davis straight to the canvas.

TOP 5 Favourite Fighters

1: Frank Mir
2: Shogun Rua
3: Cain Velasquez
4: Anthony Johnson
5: Junior Dos Santos

Well Edgar vs Maynard 3 hasn't occured yet, but I'll take their second match from back in January, it just had it all...

A big surprise in the first, the heroic come-back fight that proved the champions heart and just the general excitement

Kampmann vs Sanchez was awesome as well, I just wished that Kampmann won...

But all in all there has been alot of great fights already, and we're only 3 months in people MMA is blowing up!

I thought Frankie/Maynard 2 was pretty boring. The first round was a good 10-8 beatdown then the rest was Edgar stick-and-moving. The highlight after round one was when Edgar got that big take-down maybe.

Whatever fight that turned into a muay thai match and ended with that spinning back kick was my favorite this year. It's early though and I've forgotten both fighters names.

I think your talking about Edson Barboza vs Anthony Njokuani, and i'd agree, that has been the best fight so far.

Barboza vs Njokuani was a mad fight, nice surprise. Apart from that, the best is still to come this year.
