We'll prolly see GSP's dynamic striking, the one that he displayed before the first Serra fight since he doesn't have to worry about Jake's striking.

GSP will keep it standing and display a much more dynamic and explosive version of his striking game. Shields has little power in his hands, so Georges won't have to be wary of the big right hand, like he was from Koscheck. I see Georges putting on a clinic, and putting a serious beating on Mr Shields. Saying that though, I would not be at all surprised if Shields manages to get GSP down, and potentially submit him. This really is GSP's toughest test at Welterweight, Shields is a beast.

Shields isn't likely to submit GSP. Shields is a good grappler but lets be realistic he hasn't submitted anyone who was really that good. His biggest wins have been based on lay and pray for the most part.

Shields' BJJ is highly overrated. Who has he ever submitted worth noting?
Lawler, Daley, Thompson, Pyle, Pariente, Steinbeiss, Cooper, Jackson, Velarde, Ritch.
Those are the fighters he has submitted... Pyle is by far the best ground fighter Shields has submitted.
Shields has fought other decent ground guys but if you watch those fights will notice they are lay and pray clinics... He has ok takedowns, good BJJ, horrible stand up and weak ground and pound. He will not finish a fighter the quality of GSP and as such has to win a decision against a far better rounded fighter that has better conditioning.
GSP wins this fight however he wants but most likely he will pick Shields apart standing and tire him out with the odd takedown. Shields is a gamer and will be tough to finish but if he has another tough weight cut I could definitely see a tko win for GSP later in the fight.

I don't think GSP is that worried about being submitted but there is more to being a good grappler, Shields also has great sweeps and to me that is gonna be the bigger concern for GSP.

In BJJ, Shields has submitted Fitch, Diego Sanchez, etc and in rolling he's submitted monsters like Marcelo Garcia.
In a straight BJJ match, gi or no gi, Shields would really crush GSP. It's not a BJJ match though.

Yep, he couldn't even finish a gassed out Henderson.

Alot of you guys are saying he will just strike with Shields but , Jake is much much smarter than Koscheck and will be going for takedowns every single round , Koschecks downfall was he tried to KO GSP rather than beating him at his own game. Look at the fight Josh had him down in the end of the round literally he could have tried that every round and scored atleast 2 or 3 TD's made the fight very very close. Koscheck is awful at striking i hate to say it and a broken hand didnt help , Jake is awful BUT he knows it and will stick to his bread and butter.
I believe GSP will be wary of this and will go for Takedowns to avoid being put on his back. Jake i also believe has been overated by alot of people , he has good BJJ when he is in top position but from his back i cannot see him mounting any offence.
