I just think Edgar is still the better striker of the two. He is much faster and more crisp. Maynard only has the power advantage. So yeah, Maynard would have had more gas left, but I think Frankie would have outstruck him 9/10 times if he hadn't been hurt.

Another interesting thing was that everyone thought Maynard was going to toss Frankie around again, but it was the opposite. Frankie got the takedowns and even picked Maynard up and threw him to the ground.

Frankie Edgar is the better fighter, he will win this fight. He has better stand up and what was astounding in the last fight was how he completely out wrestled "the bully".

Another thing about Edgar, the dude is actually fighting above his natural weight class, he should be fighting as a FW, yet he still beats up the bigger, stronger guys, I think thats incredible and he's earned me as a fan.

The heart he displayed in that Maynard fight was just incredible.

I cant see Maynard wobbling frankie like that again. I really want Frankie to win and I want him to finish Gray.

I never reallly understood how you can predict a split decision are you suggesting the fight will be that close the judges will be at logger heads or that one of the judges will be incompetent ?

I think Maynard punched himself out in the 1st round so i think again this will be a 5 round grind and the guy who wants it more will win but the later rounds will alot more even than last time.

think about this with the mainevents this year

sanchez a split decision
penn/fitch split decision draw
maynard/edgar split decision draw

i cant trust judges to trust eachother in these types of fights anymore
