i really dont see how ppl think hominick is actually a threat to aldo standing, even more so since the argument they use to back themselves is ''well aldo has never faced an elite striker before''

um...ok...and hominick has? both havent faced great strikers, though aldo has faced better opponents and wrecked them easily, not only that but his MT is simply much better, you dont need to put them against each other to see that

both have great striking redardless of the outcome, but i really think ppl are overrating hominick and underrating aldo just because they dont want him to win IMO

aldo is the more proven fighter, and i think its clear as day his striking is on another level, just like it was pretty obvious how AS' striking is better than vitors, he just hadnt proved it yet

aldo will wreck hominick and for some strange reason will be the biggest win in his career and the wagon will start getting pretty crowded

If your gonna take the time to shit on Aldo's character, you could at least spend the extra minute actually reading the article !! It's very clear that some of you didn't

Aldo sounds confident, but there's no way he'll be taking his first UFC fight lightly.

I'm pretty sick of people calling fighters arrogant for believing in themselves. He gave Hominick his props it wasn't disrespectful. I'm sure Hominick believes he will weave in and out liver punching a mother ****er all night long and walk out with the belt. People who don't believe they are the best going into a fight are more likely to break in the face of adversity.

If you want to be a legendary champion that has to be unwavering also. Guys like Frankie and Andy have shown they have that kind of confidence and I believe Hominick will put Aldo to that test.

I think Nunes runs through Kenny.

He's 100 percent right. Does anyone see any scenario that doesn't end in an Aldo KO by the end of the 2nd or 3rd round?
Absolutely.

An Aldo sub by the end of 2nd or 3rd round.

Hominick has fought some of the best guys in the world at multiple weight classes.

His problem is that he's lost a good number of those fights.

Also, on a serious note, I don't really see much problems for Aldo here. Hominick is a great MMA striker but he's fairly uni-disciplined as well, not the greatest Thai defense and his offense is almost exclusive boxing.

Aldo is so young and has been training with guys like Andy Souwer....and when you are THAT much more athletic than everyone else it makes a big difference doing that type of training on technique.

Aldo has also faced dangerous strikers before, Uriah Faber and Cub Swanson are good technical kickboxers, and athletic ones as well, then there is a guy like Shoji Maruyama who was a very dangerous striker with big, big power.

This should be a showcase fight for Aldo. Hard to predict what he will do, but it would be a good strategy I believe to take Hominick down and grapple.

I'm ashamed to admit it but i've never seen Aldo fight before. I'm eager to see what the hype is about.

How the hell is that arrogant? He complimented Kenny and even said he is worthy of challenging for the title.

So Kenny expects to drop down to a new weight class and beat everyone up because they are WEC fighters and there is nothing arrogant about that? But ALdo can't believe he is the better fighter (actually won a belt, didn't choke) while saying Kenny is a real legit fighter and worthy of a title shot if he beats Nunes?

Get Real

Yes what Kenny said was Arrogant and i also Backed Schaub or cut him some slack when he said he can beat everyone in the HW divison , however Aldo pin pointed his opponent and said

" but I'm telling you: I do not see any problems,"

basically trying to say the guy isnt in his league.

Which to me in arrogant but im sorry said it now since the nut swingers are out in full force.
