Silva vs Okami @ UFC Rio?
According to Big Nog..

UFC middleweight champion and a national celebrity after knocking Vitor Belfort out at UFC 126, Anderson Silva will be the biggest star of UFC Rio card. According to Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira, former UFC heavyweight champion and his training partner, Silva will fight Yushin Okami, the last opponent to defeat him (by DQ at Rumble on the Rock 8, in 2006), trying to set a new record of nine straight title defenses in the UFC. The return of the organization to Brazil will take place at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena, on August 27.

Hope this is true, even though I feel that Okami has ZERO chance, he still deserves his shot!

Just read this! Wow that would be insane, although Silva would wreck him within 1 round.

If he beats Silva and Silva retires, MMA will be really weird for a little while.

This is just a story to take the pressure off GSP winning. We are a few weeks away from GSP fighting and I really find it odd that Dana has been saying for the past 2 months that GSP vs Silva will be next in line and all of a sudden, so close to the fight, we see this.

Indeed. Im happy for Okami, but the hill is already steep enough fighting Anderson Silva. Now fighting Anderson Silva in hostile territory is mountainous. Well, if Jake Shields ends up pulling it out in Toronto, maybe Okami can do it too in Rio.

these are the exact type of match ups when big upsets happen(well it wouldnt be a big upset if theres wasnt a big underdog, but you know what i mean lol), When it seems like a foregone conculsion of who the winner is in a big fight more often then not the upset happens. BJ/Edgar, GSP/Serra, Fedor/Werdum, Forrest/Shogun and Many Many others.
