I still think GSP works over Diaz on the ground (and I'm a massive Diaz brothers fanboy), but man... that'd be a hell of a fight on the feet. Both men present such interesting styles standing that I'm officially joining the masses in calling for this fight to happen. I don't think Zuffa will give us Champion vs. Champion fights right away, but man... talk about the potential for a Superbowl card.

I think it's a strong possibility these fights could happen. They even had a poll last night asking if people would like to see crossover fights.

As for Diaz vs GSP I think GSP as much as I dislike him is too elusive. It may of been the punch to the head that rocked Daley but if was the brutal body punishment that set it all up. I don't think GSP will get caught like that and if he starts too he has the TD's to stop it quickly.

We have to remember the UFC/M-1 ordeal... co-promotion was the block in the road for UFC, and Strikeforce last night looked almost borderline co-promotion. UFC is buttering up Coker and the rest of 'em, before they shut them down and absorb as many of the fighters as they can.

Not that it's a bad thing, I want to see who the best fighters are. And when it happens I hope Coker isn't bitter, he could easily transfer into a high role with Zuffa/UFC, but there's no way that UFC and Strikeforce are going to walk galily together hand in hand for the next 10 years.

He already got his money from the purchase.Hes a business man he knows what comes next anything he says on camera about seein a crossover 8 months down the line is just to wet the appetite of anyone gullible enough to entertain it.

Like I said coker at this point is irrelevant, hes just the capain of a sinking ship overseeing his crew before they jump off onto a life raft.Hes like the substitute teacher no one should really pay any mind. Its dana's words one should put credence in & hes always said there would be no "cross promoting".That means if alistair doesnt want to sign with ufc when his contract is up he wont be in the ufc. That means if jacare would rather go to bellator to face hector we wont see him in the ufc.So how anyone can buy into this superfight theory when its not even a slam dunk that the fighters are goin to be signing is absurd

I think we are all aware that not all of these fights will happen and some of the fighters are likely to choose Japan etc. I was worried about Overeem, but I think he's going for the big guns now and will choose UFC when Strikeforce is irrelevant, rather than going between Dream and K-1.

What makes u so sure? he had a chance to sign with the ufc but chose SF due to the flexibility of their contracts amongst other things. Why would that change now? because japanes mma is dead? there are mma events all over the globe like bamma, impact, shark e.t.c he could easily just decide to feast on rodents and pad his legacy until he calls it quits. You dont think part of the reasoning behind goin to SF was that a lot of the SAC in the venues they went were lax with drug testing? something the NSAC certainly wont be..

Yes but watch recent interviews, I think Reem is intent on being the best HW in MMA and after seeing what's happened to Fedor, he knows where he needs to go, who he needs to beat. He's a clever guy and I reckon he will be fighting UFC guys within a year.

Reem has said on camera that his ultimate goal is to one day be UFC champ. Do the math.
