Yeah, whatever.
As for Shields, far from an iron chin. It is solid, but he's been stopped before, he's been rocked many times over as well. Anderson is not Dan Henderson...he would finish the job. Period. Always has.

Well... yea.. gsp is a coward and certainly fights like one. But that doesn't change the fact that this athlete would beat anderson silva on paper. Just because gsp is a bitch and here for a paycheck and not a legacy doesn't mean he's any less of a threat.

LMFAO!!! What a post.
AS would beat Jake Shields, I don't have any doubts on that. I don't understand why everyone gives Shields a shot here at all, we're talking about the man who knocked Belfort out with a sparta kick here...do you guys think Shields can beat Belfort? Or Sonnen for that matter? His split decision win over kampmman impressed all of you that much? lmao
GSP knows he's gonna kick Shield's ass, but he's scared of AS. That's the truth, AS can hurt GSP on the ground, and on the feet, there's no fighting a safe fight for GSP against AS and he knows it.

Well sir I may be greatly intoxicated. I attempted to drink some of my slushy from sonic, the straw.. Elusive mother****er, would give machida a run for his money. I liked to have shot slush across the room with a premature slurp.
I think shields would beat AS by taking him down and dry humping the holy hell out of him. Do this for 5 rounds like sonnen.. well 4.9 rounds the difference being that shields could not possibly get subbed by anderson. could not happen, it would be like me having a threesome with mila kunis and eva mendez, while it would be awesome and id love to experience both its just not there.
for the record i hate jake shields, never liked the bastard. bisping and shields.. **** em both i hope they get herpes

This is what's going to happen. GSP always shoots in with his left lead leg which means Anderson will have to use his left knee as barrier to the head. He did it against Lutter, Demian, and Carlos Newton. He'll take that calculated risk to KO or at least throw him off track. If he doesn't then he'll just throw his elbows on the ground while GSP GNP and looks for submissions. Anderson has five opportunities in each round to KO em.

I was actually laughing at how much truth was in your post. GSP definitely beats AS on paper, but in a fight...totally different ball game I thought that's what you were getting at.
Shields is good, but he's not going to beat AS. It's nice to have a little hope in the guy, but lets not be delusional. Silva hasn't really lost since 2004...he's fought the best, and he's absolutely beat the shit out of them decisively. Shields is a smaller, weaker version of Chael Sonnen with better sub defense, but he wont be fighting an AS with injured ribs either. I dunno why people doubt Silva, anyone who challenges him is "that guy who can beat him." I get it, we play the safe card saying that, just so we can go "see, I told you." All faith aside, Silva is the pick vs Shields, everyone knows it, in a 5 round fight Shield's gasses and gets knocked out lol that's the truth.

Well as hendo and chael had shown wrestling is silva's main weakness and gsp and Jake are 2 of the best in the ufc (not to mention jakes great bjj). I actualy think Jake matches up beter with silva than gsp. And I am worried about him making the weight cut to fight GSP.

I don't get how he beats him on paper, Silva is bigger, better and more proven against adversary.
Silva's defensive wrestling isn't good, but too bad nor is GSP's chin or heart. Silva hits him solid, it is over.
GSP is literally terrified of strikers. He's even said against Thiago he was afraid of being knocked out.

Yeah Shields is like a robot made to destroy Silva. I have no clue why he's fighting GSP at WW honestly. Stylistically, Silva is a much easier opponent for Shields.
I want to remind everyone too that Silva's reach advantage on GSP that everyone talks about? Little over one inch.
|
that one inch is overall wingspan and GSPs is large because of how wide his back/torso is. Silva's arms and legs (especially legs) are a little more significantly larger. That said I do think both Shields and GSP are capable of beating Silva but I would still have Silva as the betting favorite in both matchups

You're right. Silva just had Henderson on the ground for 2 minutes and submitted him, not for 25 minutes. That's all.
GSP? Wouldn't beat Anderson. Shields? HAHA..please.
