Pretty much.

Anderson is in the twilight of his career, outside of this fight with Okami, should be just a rematch with Sonnen and then a superfight with GSP then riding off into the sunset.

Moving up weight classes and all that is pretty much crazy at this point.

I think Jones is the one guy who would beat Silva. I just don't see Silva being able to avoid being manhandled by Jones once Jones gets a hold of him. I don't think anyone will be able to use ji jitsu to counter Jones's wrestling. The guy who's going to beat Jones is gonna have to be able to not be manhandled by him and I don't think Anderson's strong enough to do this.

I would seriously boo this if the fight is the obvious next fight. I really want to see what 205 Anderson can do at LHW even as he does decline with age.

Assuming the MW superfight happens against GSP next. Win or lose, (win for Silva most likely) I want to see Silva move up to LHW. There is nothing to prove at MW after that. Especially if Silva wins against MW GSP, there will be mass outcry for either a rematch if it's close or a call for him to move up to LHW.

Why do people want him to retire that badly??

If they don't feet him to Top Level Wrestlers, then Andy will hold that belt until he is 45. His athletic ability is just extraodinary.

Anderson was never better then today. The guy is Still improving among all these jung guns and 36 is certainly not that old and when you look at Anderson, he moves better then ever, looks like a 25 year old in there.

Anderson is still improving guys and he is FAR away from reteriment.

Can't wait what he will show us next!!!

Bobby is right here.

Stop talking about Silva like he's dying or something....

The guy is 36, not 56.
He's looked excellent in all of his leatest fights, in every aspect: technically, tactically and physically. (minus the Sonnen fight)

And talks like this about Silva's age has been going on for at least 2 years now.

For example: Rampage and Machida are 33 yrs old, but you don't hear nothing about their age.

Silva will fight as long as he thinks he can win fights and make some money for the future.

Rampage and Machida both have a good wrestling base. They aren't walking into every fight with a 95% chance of getting taken down.

Silva really is becoming the king of BS excuses to dodge fights, if he don't want to move up weight and fight fair play, but why come out with some BS excuses to try and cover the fact, why not just say "all I want to do is fight and defend my title at MW" fair play to that if thats what he wants then who can argue he is the champ of that weight after all, but the fact he needs BS excuses not to fight at LHW is just sad.

People can old very quickly it may sound extremely stupid but fighters can look good in one fight then give it a 6 months - year and before you know it they basically are over the hill , Anderson is at that point in time , im not saying in a year he will be done but he will look less impressive as time goes on and suddenly he will just lose it.

I think Silva has 3 fights left in him, maybe 4 depending on how many he takes on in one year.

Okami
GSP
Sonnen(if he wins against GSP)

GSP will get the crack at Silva before Sonnen as he needs to climb up the ladder again, not to mention he doesn't even have his license back.
