I wish he had the chance to fight shields in place of Martin.

Also wish he had beaten gsp. One of the greatest to never be champ.

Sucks for him, Fitch and Penn are basically going to be on hiatus for a long time and then they'll just fight each other again...strange.

I actually really like Fitch and I definitely feel that I'm in the minority here. The dude is really ******* good whether you like him or not.

Well since my favorite WW is GSP that aint happening,.

Also if Fitch is coming off this long lay off and wants Penn he is insane. If BJ fights once and gets his mojo back Fitch will get wrecked. Fitch was using he hadn't been practicing wrestling in camp as an excuse for BJ taking him down. Whats gonna happen after 6 months of not doing it. Hell BJ will be suplexing him on his head. Honestly I don't believe that but I didn't buy the crap about a guy who trains with that many wrestlers not training wrestling. In reality though the fact his conditioning will be behind and he will have some cage rust is not what Fitch wants walking into a cage against a motivated BJ. If Fitch had been coming off a lay off that long during there first fight I doubt Fitch would have made it out of the first round.

Pretty sure the time off isn't gonna hurt him Xeb. Guys at AKA always seem to do better after a long lay off honestly, and hopefully him and Cain are back soon.

Weird that the #1 + #2 guy at AKA are both out with serious injuries. Wonder if it's effecting the morale over there.

If you're unfamiliar with shoulder injuries, labral damage is no joke. His shoulder will likely never be the same as it once was. No chance he's back in 6 months. I would be surprised to see him back in the cage in less than a year. He is looking at 12-18 months (until he's in great shape) IMO.

That being said, I wish him a speedy recovery.

So him and Cain are both out for 12+ months with shoulder injuries?

I wouldn't put money on seeing Cain back in full form in 2011.

Sure, it could happen. However, rotator cuff repairs are unpredictable; especially severe ones (e.g., his was 90% torn). Everybody is different, but shoulders are notoriously rogue when it comes to healing.

A torn labrum is a huge deal. It's the most feared shoulder injury in sports. And for good reason.

To put it into perspective, most weight lifters don't feel 80+% until after a year (after slap tear... labral... repairs).

I can attest to this (having had a torn labrum and also AC joint surgery). Let's hope for the best. I want to see Cain vs JDS ASAP! I dont want to hear excuses when JDS knocks him out.
