Mighty Mouse in for Injured Pickett vs. Torres
Quote:
UFC president Dana white announced that Brit bantamweight Brad Pickett has suffered an injury, forcing him to withdraw from his May 28th bout against Miguel Torres at UFC 130.
"The fastest man in the division has answered the call, and Demetrious Johnson will move into Pickett’s spot to face the former divisional kingpin," said White. "Both men have verbally agreed to the fight."
Johnson was originally slated to fight rising prospect Renan Barao on the same date; Barao’s new opponent will be announced shortly.

Didn't even know that fight was happening, too bad picket got injured because it should have been a great scrap......if torres never crabbed and jabbed(heard that on a different forum)
Mighty Mouse should be too strong for torres.

Interesting match up. Johnson will do a better job of closing the distance then Banuelos did.

The tallest BW vs the shortest BW.
Should be a great fight.
Torres is gonna have a big reach advantage and he should use that to keep Johnson at distance. If he can't do that, he's losing this fight.
Johnson - explosive TDs. He probably has the fastest shoots in the UFC, like Rogan said (over and over again...). And i believe he will be succesfull on taking Torres down. It's gonna be interesting to see how he controls him though.
Close fight, tough to call.
Mighty Mouse, UD.

To be honest I think it's gonna be an easy fight for Miguel.
Torres by submission round 1.

Torres has very solid BJJ and his frame allows him to execute moves that smaller fighters are not used to due to his longer limbs. I think Johnson is going to have a lot of difficulty getting close enough to shoot for a takedown...and once he gets it he's going to be very busy defending strikes from the bottom and sub attempts.
I don't think Johnson will be able to control Torres on the ground and I think he'll get busted up trying to get it there.
just my opinion, of course.

Sucks that Pickett got injured, he's one of my favorite fighters, he always brings it
But as a replacement Mighty is a really good one, will be fun seeing these two have a staredown, and can't wait for the fight either

I see Torres getting back to his best, using his gigantic reach advantage to pick Johnson apart, and I see him dropping and finishing him in the 3rd. Should be a sick fight though - really pulling for Torres!
