Mayhem should not be fighting the Silva's or Sonnen's he should be fighting the Bisping's, the Akiyama's and the Leben's. Because that is the the level of fighter that Mayhem is. I think Mayhem/Bisping sounds intriguing, Mayhem has the slicker ground game and likely has the better offensive striking with Bisping having the better defensive striking (elusiveness) and better wrestling. Sounds like an exciting fight just not one that should have title implications.
What this smart gentleman said!

While i consider Mayhem a very exciting fighter, i don't think he has what it takes to be champion in the UFC.
He could swim near the TOP 8 of the MW division and there will always be a ton of exciting fights for him in the UFC.

In SF he was fading, having to fight Kennedy or Jacare over and over again...

Soooo...let the party begin

.

Thats a great sign

But he won't make it into the top 5 in my opinion. All these BJJ wisards like Maia and Paul Harris then the Wrestlers like Sonnen, Okami and Nate..

they should all beat him fair and square.

Top 10 without a doupt though

Definitely lose to Palhares. He said during the "Sherdog Fighter Exchange" he'd never been subbed as many times as he was rolling with Palhares.

I think Okami would definitely outwork him, but he might be able to pull off the sub against Sonnen. Shields has far better JJ than Sonnen and Miller almost got him.

Maia, is one of the top grapplers I think he has a good chance against. Maia's JJ is th best in MMA, but 2-1 over Jacare (in BJJ comp), a guy who couldn't finish Miller on the ground (and tried several times). Maia's stand up is his weakest link, an area where I believe Miller is superior to him.

Stylistically I can see him possibly beating Sonnen and Maia, but other than those two, he doesn't have a leg to stand on against top MWs.

Didnt they say that its not UFC Contracts but more like Zuffa Contracts? So more like the fighters have to sign with Zuffa than specifically the UFC.
