eye of the tiger makes people look bad,i agree with you, (even though im a rap kind of guy) I think they should do SOME 60'S, but i like hard core music, it gets you pumped for the fight.

I agree it does. I listen to more rap then anything myself. I just rarely hear classic 60's.

And for the international comment I made it does make sense, I am sure throughout most the world those 2 bands are known. Black Sabbath for sure is.

My 12 fighter army is as follows:

Dan Henderson
Mac Danzig
Mirko "the man" Filipovic
Anderson Silva
Fedor and Aleks
Mark Hunt
BJ Penn
Q. Rampage Jackson
Karo Parisyan
John Fitch
Frank Shamrock

Rumor has it that Rampage will come out to the Barney theme song if he gets his shot at Chuck. That will pump everyone up.

"I love you. You love me..."

I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

I dont really think Dana picks the songs, I mean CC came out to Pride's theme song.

Though i was hoping he would come out to Wild Boys by Duran Duran like he usually does in Pride. I guess he just wanted to rep Pride by coming out to that song though.

Why is it that its all this hardcore music? I mean does Hendrix not pump the blood the same way lets say Slayer?
If the choice is up to the UFC or more importantly Dana White, then shame on them/him. If its the fighters well then I say shame on them.

Rock Ballads to me seem perfect for entrance music. I'd love to see someone come down blasting The Who, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Alice N' Chains. Maybe I still am not watching enough MMA, but there just seems to be a lack of international music.

Take UFC 67, the last fight of the eve when Tyson Griffen came down to "Eye of the Tiger." Why don't more fighters take that approach. Matt Hughes-esc type entrances. I give credit to Pride because they seem to have much better entrance music. I think this can mainly be Dana's fault (Atleast for the UFC)

Just seems wierd to me that fighters don't pick more songs known.
Did you not hear the music Mike Bisping came out to?

****ing classic, The Clash, ha ha ha!

Exactly, lol doesn't get much more classic than that.

Plus ya look at the age of the fighters and they all grew up in the 70's and 80's so getting 60's music aint gonna happen to often.

I'm pretty sure the music is just what the fighter likes. Ummm not sure about the 60's stuff, I never really got into it. Any reason in particular you think they should come into that music? I mean I hate country but I still respect matt hughes for coming into a match playing it.

Personally I would want all fighters to come into the ring with "neva eva" by trillville but it will never happen. This is a very weird thread but I think I understand what you're getting at... I think lol

Well Matt Hughes comes in to "A country boy can survive" by Hank Jr. If that song doesnt perfectly fit Hughes what song does?

A reason may be royalties? I think I remember hearing somewhere that Metallica charges around $100,000 to play a song. Whos gonna pay some huge band that kind of money to lend their song to a prelim fighter?
