Just found this interesting

Was browsing a little at some records on the UFC site and noticed they added Strikeforce, Pride, and WFA results to their fighters records. This is really not that suprizing since they bought all of these organization. I found it a little werid that they also had Dream results as well.

I sure there is really nothing to it, but found it interesting that the UFC would include Dream results when in the past they only showed a fighter's UFC fights. Well and WEC fights for those guys who came over.

I don't get it....why wouldn't they include a fighter's full professional record? Or is that not what you're talking about?

Sorry if I seem dim(mer than usual).

Previously the site only showed fighter's UFC/WEC records, now with the Strikeforce purchase it shows Strikeforce records too which makes sense.

Dream is the anomoly though. Unless they've secretly bought Dream too, only explanation I can think of is they just decided to put full records on the site.

I think that's what they are trying to do. At least all the fighter's fights from major organizations. I glanced at Strikeforce's site and they have their full professional records. It kind of makes sense since they purchused Strikeforce and Stikeforce co-promotes with Dream.

Even though Dream has been in alot of fiannancial (MS) trouble, I knew the UFC couldn't have bought them, unless they're keeping it under tight wraps. But I did think that maybe they were in negotiations with them or something, when I saw the dream records on the site. I doubt it though, probally just trying to post full pro records.

Might have something to do with guys like Shogun. I mean if your a newbie and look at Shoguns record. It would have showed a 3-3 record. Of course that was just his UFC fights. Some newbies might have thought "He was the UFC Champ and he is only 3-3, Wow." But now that it shows full records, it gives him the credit he deserves for years of top level fighting.

Yeah that's what were talking about. The UFC used to only show UFC/WEC fights on their site. I know that a while back they only had a couple guys running their site, so that coupled with the amount of cuts and signings the UFC had would make it difficult to keep up full pro records with only a few guys. Who knows they might have more people to help run the site now. Plus they have bought up alot of organizations, maybe they figured it's time to post full records.

Just wanted to get other peoples take on it and see if maybe someone has heard something about a possible Dream buyout.

Good job noticing that, it is certainly interesting.

I wish they'd include all their records to be honest. Jake Shields has an awesome record and half of his fights aren't listed in ufc.com.

I'm guessing they're just including everything fightmetric has cataloged for each of their fighters.

Now they have the Strikeforce and WEC records included, it would be way to confusing to not just have fighters full records. If they tried to pick and choose which fights they wwant to include it all just becomes meaningless.

Yeah this. I don't understand why the hell they didn't have full records before? I assumed they had. This isn't pro wrestling. Fans deserve to know the full records of each fighter. Not mentioning Strikeforce or whatever is ridiculous.
