Don't you find it amazing ?

hi, well, I just thought, of course there are ups and downs, stuff that's good and stuff that ain't.

But overall, it's not everyday that something as "mainstream" as UFC offers such great quality in general.

Too often, mainstream stuff (movies, music, tv shows etc...) focus on selling but not their content quality.

I think the UFC proved everyone that it IS possible to have both, great sales as well as great and quality content.

I think we're truly blessed with Zuffa and DW working and thinking hard to give us what is really the fastest growing sport in the world.

I agree 100% buddy. Dana and co. have always tried to put on great fights with top fighters. The fights are amazing because they don't settle for second rate performances. We do get the occasional Jon Fitch snorefest but the majority of fights are top quality. Zuffa run a high class operation in every sense of the word.

So many people get on the forums and complain about Dana, the UFC and some bad fights or fighters they have seen but they maybe just don't realise how good they have it at the moment.

Good post man!

I think Dana's one of the best promoters ever. And Joe Silva's a great matchmaker too.

Agreed dude! MMA and UFC in particular is just amazing! I love it so much. Its already on level with football. Which says alot considering I've been a massive football fan for about 22, 23 years while I've only been a proper fan of UFC and MMA for about 6,7 years. For all the flak Dana and the UFC takes on forums etc, I bleieve they've done an incredible job. To start a new sport and turn it into the force it is today in 10-15 years is an unbelievable achievenment. I just bloody love MMA!!!

What I find amazing is that this form of competition was more or less lost for so long.

This isn't exactly a new sport. I'd guess that it's one of the 2 oldest with foot races.

Who the hell was that Queensberry guy? and how did they let him screw things up so bad?

Toytally agree. How people can think it's barbaric I don't know. It should be an Olympic sport. Too many people don't understand the finer points and think it's just a street brawl. By the way anyone know when UFCs coming back to the UK?

People who say it's "human cockfighting" are just uneducated people who prefer to believe they're right rather than finding out they're not. none of them have even bother to try to watch an event and understand what's going on in there

things are changing tho, but the biggest barrier now is the politicians who still forbid mma in whole countries (like France for example)

but I have no doubt whatsover

You can't compare sports to TV shows, movies or music.

Every sport needs high production quality and each sport has strived over the last couple years to make their production quality better. I can't say if baseball has gotten better since I don't watch it, but I know that the NBA,NHL and NFL have all gotten better in terms of production and what the viewers see on the TV.
