I can see agressive, really agressive AND talented fighters to give Jones some trouble

For some reason, I can imagine Rampage holding his own in there with JBJ
Prime Lidell
maybe Prime Ortiz (well, not really as the level back then wasn't what it is now, but if ortiz were as dominant now as he was in his prime, certainly not prime ortiz with prime ortiz's actual skill level, more like if "prime ortiz" happened in 2011)

but all in all, I wanna see Machida vs JBJ

Prime Wand was a monster, and I mean a ******* monster. With some seriously under rated grappling too, check out his first fight against Hendo. He humiliated him.

Prime Wand
100 percent Shogun

My list is short when put into the correct perspective, sure there are many past and present LHW'w that could beat Jones because you know some times the odds just weight up against the superior fighter and the under dog has his day, but if you was to ask me who would I make a favorite to beat Jones the answer is nobody.

Great thread

1. Roger Gracie - he has the best BJJ in the division right now and more importantly he's huge (6'4) I would be very curious to see how he handles JBJ.

2. Rampage Jackson - Jackson is a bit smaller but he has some of the best power in the LHW division and decent enough wrestling that he might be able to keep on his feet.

3. Chuck Liddell - was stylistically a nightmare for Jones, a Knock Out counter puncher.

4. Stephan Bonnar - the man who gave Jones his best fight Bonnar is a tank that can plod along for round after round if Jones has cardio problems I could see Jones winning four rounds and being finished by this tough SOB in fifth round spectacular fashion.

5. Lyoto Machida - most people feel he can do it, I have my doubts as we don't know what Machida will show up but a Machida in his prime might be able to beat Jones.

Chuck Liddell definitely. I don't think even a Pride era Wand could to be honest. Wand, like Shogun, has never had good takedown defence. His grappling isn't bad, but Jones would only need to attempt a takedown and I think that would be it. A focused and cerebral Rashad will have a good chance against Jones too. Just gotta get past the beast that is Davis first. No easy feat.

Since I've never seen JBJ remotely in trouble either by a punch, kick or a sub by today's top fighters, I'll say no one.

I can't say that I think these two would necessarily beat Jones, but I think that they pose interesting matchups:

A prime, iron-chinned Chuck Liddell
Lyoto Machida
