No its the circumstances, ur sky high right now everything has happen so fast. Now your facing a guy who has shot at your credibility. It may not be jone who is ducking but someone who is controling jones may have decided to wait. Remember Rashad evans knows how to sell a fight i don't think jone's publicist is ready to enter a war of words with evans. The ufc is a bussiness evans will bring out the worst out of jones. Something we have never seen, has jones ever used a dirty word yet?

jones saying it doesnt affect his punching or grappling doesn't actually go against kawa's assertion that doctors said it won't get better and will only get worse if he goes through a training camp and fight without fixing it. not being a hindrance in the fight and training is not the same as not getting further injured during that period and needing more work later.

so, based on what has been stated so far, I tend to agree with kawa. the longer you go without treating a tear that needs surgery, the less functionality you'll be restoring. scar tissue builds up, the tear can exacerbate, and other injuries can occur as you make up for the damaged part by overcompensating with other parts.

A sprained finger would affect his striking & grappling.

I would think a torn ligament even moreso.

Mike Brown tore a ligament in his hand & claimed it had an effect. Don't see a reason JBJ would be any different.

Hard work is the only real PED.

Prospects -- Doo Hoo Choi, Ashlee Evans Smith, Mickey Gall, Sage Northcutt, Thomas Almeida, Yair Rodriguez, Lorenz Larkin, Robert Whittaker

Okay, so I'm not a Jones fan at all. But are there people out there that believe Jones wasn't afraid of going in and fighting Shogun Rua on short notice for the title, but he faked an injury to avoid defending his title against Rashad? Come on......

Think. It Ain't Illegal Yet

There are more reasons to "duck" than just fear...
