UFC Returning to England in October

The UFC will make its long awaited return to England in October.

According to sources close to the promotion, the organization is targeting an Oct. 15 date at Liverpool's Echo Arena for its next UK show.

The UFC has previously held 10 shows in the United Kingdom but this would mark the first one to take place in the hometown of "The Beatles."

Echo Arena opened in 2008 and can hold approximately 11,000 fans.

No fights have been announced for the event just yet.

The last time the UFC visited England was for UFC 120 in October 2010.
I really do hope it goes to Liverpool, only a 50 min trip from me and would definitely get tickets!

Hope Hardy would be on the card aswell and also maybe this is where Bisping v Sonnen will get it on?

No doubt the card will be predictable as usual. Hardy is on a 3 fight losing streak yet they wouldn't hesitate to have him co-headline.

Would be hilarious if they did Bisping vs Sonnen, the local boy would get his ass kicked an hour from home.

11,000 seats? sounds like a fight night crowd.

As for Bisping / Sonnen..I can see them holding that out for the super fight if/when it ever happens. It would be a good fight in the 3/4 slot of a PPV

More compact arenas give a better atmosphere and 11,000 isnt exactly a joke.

I agree that Bisping/Sonnen will be on a big PPV but it would not be a 3/4 slot fight , headline or Co Main atleast for the hype , anticipation and basically Number 1# contender spot.

as for the card itself

Bisping Vs Mid Tier fighter
Hardy Vs Striker
Pearson Vs ( Depends on how he does in his next fight )

Pretty much a cert them 3 fights.

Im not saying 11,000 is a joke...just that these days not sure that size of a crowd justifies a "numbered" Ufc event. Especially when events are in the Uk the Ufc can't sell it as a PPV in north america so they problem conitnues that putting big names on the card doesn't make sense from a money standpoint...

Having said that the last few Fights Nights / Versus have been stacked with mid-tier talent and very exciting.

I agree Hardy will most likely be on the card, he has requested Lytle next.

I see them saving Bisping for TUF, which means he would fight in Dec

Oh yeah! I'm there! Northern crowd ftw

They probably will put Hardy on, but I'm blinded by fanboyism anyway, so would love it!
