What if Rampage was a commentator?

Now everyone says they love rampage's humour and that he's charismatic as a fighter; how about if he was a commentator?

I for one would like to hear that guy commentating the fights, i remember he was talking about the Satake fight when they were showing it and he literally said "But I like to put my nuts in they face, so they can smell my sweaty balls, and then when they distracted i come down with the kness" I practically shat my pants throughout the entire time.

I know some of you might say, oh but he doesn't have a diverse amount of knowledge in terms of submissions and etc, does Mike Goldberg? "Travis Lutter, is to BJJ as Michael Jordan is to basketball" god i still can't get over how idiotic that guy is. I wouldn't care so much if it was his first year or two working, but he's been around for so many god damn years and he still doesn't know jack shit. I'm glad Rogan didn't let that comment fly by cause it was just one of those moments where you normally wouldn't pay attention and then bam, you go "wtf, did he just say again?"

Rampage seems like the kind of guy you bring in during certain fights to add a little comic relief. I can't see him ever being a serious commentator. Goldberg seems to be your protypical play-by-play guy, while Rogan has that special blend of levity and seriousness. I don't think you can get much more zany than Rogan and still get a lot of air time. In short, Rampage seems like a guy you might bring in to spice things up, but I don't think he could cut it as a full-time broadcaster.

Rogan needs someone to play off of, and Goldie's that guy.

Rampage & Don Frye commentating during the White vs Horn KOTC fight was awesome. Frye, as usual, was a hoot. I'd rather see Frye as a commentator than Rampage personally.

Rampage would probably get old after awhile. I want the commentators to talk about the fight and know what there talking about. Not making a bunch of wild comments(even if funny, sometimes).

Exactly! He is funny at times, but he talks a lot of shit...no one wants to hear a commentator talk a lot of shit, you want a commentator to feed you the facts. Last thing MMA needs is a bunch of people adhering to every word Jackson says, when everyone that knew him from Pride knows he is full of shit!

P.S. - Pardon my language but I am buzzing!

Anyone remember when he commented on the Fedor/Randleman fight.

Bas mistakenly calls Randleman by Quinton Jacksons name and Rampage goes " its ok, all black folk look alike"

I snorted my drink.

Bas is funny too, when he was translating what Nog said post-fight. Talking about a lost puppy.

I remember the all black folk look alike comment.
I think he was the funniest in Bushido 4 (I think) after the 'Funky' Brady Fink fight. 'Look at that, two black man on the cover'...

I think Rampage would be good for certain undercard fights, humour is good but with him being a smart ass when im trying to watch the main event im not so sure.

he is pretty funny. he could add a little humor to it and would deffinatly be good for the post fight interview. He'd say stuff like. Talk us through the end of the fight where you just beat his ass.
