Lew Polley is pissed off and jealous because he's actually a very below-average MMA fighter and has not nor will he ever see his name in lights. It's pathetic what he's doing. I'm always one to go against a Blackhouse guy, but Junior is starting to make me change that opinion. Yeah, the language barrier is a problem, but even without it he's a hell of a lot better of a coach and leader than Lew f-cking Polley.

lol I just watched the last episode, where JDS is showing his fighters a beginners fundamental boxing technique of using your shoulder to cover a counter-left hook while throwing the jab. And then Lew pipes up saying to make sure you stay behind your hands and your shoulders, WTF!!!! The guy is so clueless and these kids can learn a LOT if they don't even know this basic yet.

As soon as I saw this guy on ep 1 he looked a bit odd. He seems to be the type that takes themselves way too seriously.

freddie roach wasn't much of a great boxer.... now hes considered one of if not the best trainer in all of boxing.

michael jordan is considered to be one of the best basketball players ever.... his success hasn't translated well into being a President VP of basketball operations.

Basically, whether you were ever a great athlete or not has nothing to do with being a great coach/trainer/teacher

Sorry guys, can someone fill me in on his credentials? I have never heard of him. I am sure he is a great wrestler and probably an even better coach but why is he trying to teach people BJJ let alone striking. JDS is known for and is an accomplished striker. He trains with very, very accomplished strikers, so why would he think he could tell someone a better technique?

My brains hurts.

love him or hate him...brotha speaks the truth.

If JDS was so angry, maybe he should have requested a better Portuguese/English interpreter from Dana...which is part of the reason why I believe Lew has had the amount of screen time he has. Hell, most Americans cant even comprehend a once removed British "accent" let alone broken Engli-guese.

For the record....all the people exclaiming "who is this guy?" "I never heard of him" "fill me in on him"....just google/youtube/Sherdog his record. Simple.

His english sounds good to me, he's not far from Minituro. Besides it's quite obvious both have opposite coaching styles. To quote Rock "he needs to know his role"
And I bet if he was white you wouldn't say that. Your bias can be amazing sometimes .

LOL...you gonna call him "boy" next?

His role is to be a coach. Simple, besides this is JDS/Brocks show. They have gotten the most screentime, they have gotten the most interviews and monolouges.

in any event....I notice JDS English has gotten better as the show has progressed. Maybe online English classes, more time around English speakers? Maybe fancy editing?
