GSP looked noticeably different. You could tell something was bothering him. I'm not even talking about his inability to finish... GSP plays it smart and safe even when he's 100% on form. The fact that he took as much damage as he did in the later rounds and looked hesitant to even throw is not typical GSP... hesitant to finish, yes, but hesitant to do anything, no.

Oh, wait... I forgot... we can make excuses for Anderson when he gets his arse kicked, but it's unacceptable for anyone else. My bad.

GSP has a big hole than silva would exploit. Serra did it once and sheild was doing it in the last 10 mins.

Ok guys maybe I am a little pissed off - I mean if you stay up late and pay money you expect people to give it their all right?

IMO all I saw out there was GSP take a few punches and realise his best bet of winning was to play it safe. Yes Silva has been in trouble in his fights, but he always shows a champions heart.

And I believe unlike chael (who all issues aside I believe has a champions heart too) GSP will crack once he takes a couple of shots (e.g. the elbow chael took).

GSP will NEVER fight Anderson if he has he way. GSP is safe, and you're never safe with Silva, standing that jab over and over again would get timed and ended, the clinch, need I say more and on the ground GSP would get subbed. For god sake he hurt Shields bad, dropped him and refused to go the matt to try to finish. That's fear.....plain and simple.

Think. It Ain't Illegal Yet

Here is the difference GSP is mentally weak you push him he backs off. SIlva admit he was injured coming into the fight what is the problem. Another difference is they both respect there opponent except one does not have the killer instinct. SIlva bitched about his rib after the first round, gsp did with his eye. Difference is silva has been better on from that fight. Whereas gsp has regressed since beating bj the 2nd time.

You guys fail to realize that Gsp dominates BJJ guys that he finish but others types of fighters he has problems with and goes the distance, as for anderson silva has problems with good wrestlers but finish most of his fight between the too anderson has more "finish fights" thats says something then just going the distance!!

With absolutely no TDD whatsoever, the entire 25 minutes of fighting has a better chance of playing out on the ground than it does on the feet. And you talk of this 'hole' as though GSP is a bum on the feet... he out-struck Fitch, Hughes, and Koscheck badly... he out-struck BJ and Alves on the feet. And he just outworked Jake on the feet for the better part of 5 rounds. Heaven forbid GSP was actually telling the truth when he said something was up with his eye, oh no... let's assume he's just fibbing and he's actually a scrub on the feet. Because that makes a great deal more sense... I mean, he did lose to Matt Serra 25 years ago.

You're reaching. And I know why... Silva fans look for anything... absolutely anything to discredit GSP, and it's weak. I should have known better than to even come on here. So predictable.

Actually after thinking about it (after initial post-fight reaction) I can understand GSP's game plan after his eye got bust..
I mean if you cant see out of one eye you are open to shots so if you can play safe to win a title then of course you would.

I am still surprised shields managed to catch GSP with as many shots as he did... and judge me or not I am a big fan of GSP (coming from a karate background myself) but this fight left me disappointed.
