Judging (spoiler)
Yet again we witness some horrible judging. I know many probably didn't care or maybe didn't even notice but 2 judges scoring the GSP fight 48-47 is ridiculous.
GSP did not have a great fight but he still picked Shields apart with ease in every round...
He had takedowns, outsruck Shields in both quantity and hard shots and easily stuffed the few takedown attempts.
I just don't see how any judge could have scored 2 rounds to Shields. In fights this obvious there is no reason for judges to get it wrong, especially 2 out of 3...
We need new judges that are competent cause this is pathetic.

I know right? I thought an easy 50-45 was in order.

I also somewhat agree with the judges in the GSP fight. I don't call it 48-47, but I did call it 49-46.
The bias that is Joe Rogan blurs the lines when you watch it live. Jake was countering GSP quite well actually and was being the aggressor, holding the center and landing more a lot of times. Not enough to win the fight, but definitely enough to win a round, maybe two.

I agree with TraMaI, I thought it was a 49-46 fight. The fact that 2 judges gave it 48-47 makes me question my judging though. I would like to see the cards and see if they gave the same rounds to Shields, if so I would rewatch those rounds to see what I missed.

Yeah, the Aldo fight blew my mind. Who the **** would ever watch that fight and say Aldo won the last round. This could be your very first time even watching an MMA fight and you could easily see Aldo lost the last round.

I don't think any of the rounds were real blow outs actually. They were all fairly closely contested. Jake countered or attempted to counter almost everything GSP threw.

Yeah, the 50-45 card. My roommate and I even re-wound that part to make sure we heard it right. We were even more amazed when the ref wasn't announced as Cecil Peoples!
