I don't think he'd win, but he has a nifty guard, with dangerous subs and sweeps(ask Rory).

He's also absolutely tenacious, unyielding, great cardio, big power and a good, technical striker. He also has the rare ability to adapt and become stronger as the fight goes on, where I think GSP has a tendency to fade.

I've been wanting to see Condit vs. GSP for a while now.

People knock GSP, and after tonight, I can understand why, but his opponents come in just as timid and frightened as him, so the blame goes both ways. Carlos wouldn't have this problem. Carlos will come in looking to hurt St. Pierre no matter where the fight unfolds, and I'm really beginning to think this is what GSP needs. His opponents allow him to play it safe (something Jake seemed to realize, albeit far too late into the fight)... Condit wouldn't make the same mistake. And I think it'd result in a fight the fans would actually enjoy.

what i think is this, anderson silva toys around with crap opponents that are too scared to fight him like maia and leites and cote, and gsp does the same against opponents who are one dimensional or just crap but gsp is not trying to be cocky he just wants to be safe if he isn't losing, diaz and condit will give gsp a fight and i think ellenburger and a rocha with striking would too

GSP needs guys who will push him, bottom line. Not guys who come in mentally broken from the get-go. Jake was all but beaten mentally in the opening rounds, and it wasn't until the later rounds that he finally said 'F**k it' and threw down. This isn't to say GSP doesn't break people, but a few have come in pre-broken, while the rest have been broken relatively early on... Condit just strikes me as a never say die, take no prisoners SOB, and that's what GSP's opponents seem to be lacking. I think Nick Diaz would present the same challenge. St. Pierre needs opponents who don't wilt once they realize GSP is just as good as them at their own game, if not better. Like I said, it's isn't solely GSP who's responsible for these 'boring' fights. It's his opponents, who oftentimes give up after the opening round, to the point where it's more about going the distance with the champ than taking his belt.

I mostly. No disrespect to GSP, but I think his opponents respect him too much.

True true.
His fights against Ellenberger and Rory are big prrof: dominated (almost TKO'd), but he came back to win it.

And against Hardy: throw that punch - if i connect first = AWEOSME!

And another thing: Dana loves Condit after the said he would have no problem fighting GSP.

.

BELIEVE!

Well the sub by Hughes was a long time ago, I'm sure for training camp for this fight GSP would spend a lot with Roger Gracie because no way in the world he would try stand with Nick. Great match-up though style-wise and Diaz won't lay on his back in guard like Penn!

But, seeing how there isn't anyone else to fight GSP atm - why not make this?! GSP will start recicling his previous opponents annyway = fighting them again really soon, if a new face doesn't pup up.
Alvez and Diaz are absolutely nothing alike.

Alvez has average hands and great leg kicks.

Diaz has average leg kicks and great hands.

Big big difference.

Alvez has pretty good TDD, Diaz doesn't.

Diaz Jitz is way better.

Diaz spends 90% of this fight on his back, Alvez didn't. GSP would want it on the ground and will have no problem taking it there and Diaz won't mind that either.

Condit is definately the only other option for the title at this point but I think GSP deals with Condit much much easier than he does with Diaz.

Diaz would make GSP his bitch.

He'd either be tapping to strikes or tapping to a gogo, either one would be delightful

He wanted no part of Shields on the ground. Shields isn't any thing special from his back, and GSP wanted none of it. Can't slip out of those subs without your grease you slimy ****.
