I think Nick is precisely what GSP needs, though I suspect he'd take Diaz to the ground and control the fight for 25 minutes. I'm going to go ahead and wait for the medical report, because if GSP was injured during the fight, it'll explain a lot and quiet down some of these meat heads. All I know is the GSP from the closing rounds of 129 would have been picked apart by Nate, but again, I doubt GSP would stand with Diaz to begin with.

Do we really need to see this fight? GSP would take it to the ground and control Diaz the entire time. Add to that the fact that Diaz has been working boxing contracts.

I will get negged rep'ed, but I am fine with that. GSP cannot be beaten at 170. In fact, Kos and Fitch would beat any contenders who think they stand a chance. No one outside the UFC is in the same caliber as those three, and out of them there is a clear leader. GSP will only find a challenge by moving up in weight.

i hope they work out a deal, i think if the price is right he'll get the fight done dana is a good persuader, and i think mendes is new fw champ if aldo comes in that bad in cardio shape again, mendes while ground and pound his way to a decsion

Sounds like this is in the works and Diaz provides a lot of interesting stylistic points vs GSP. Think Diaz will be on his back the entire time though and I don't give him much chance of submitting GSP (but you never know). No way does GSP risk standing with him for long, other than a few jabs.

I thought Florian if he wins V Aldo was nearly already made?

Agreed on both but I can't see any scenario where Diaz doesn't price himself out.

Absolute none.

How about Nick Diaz someone fights someone at his level first. Like maybe a rematch with Diego Sanchez.

no not enough time to be made, its mendes vs aldo in Rio, then the winner vs nunes-florian. nick subbed a black belt in santos in 5 seconds when it hit the mat, he has the best guard and ground game of any welterweight in the world, yes santos always gets koed but he has only beeen subbed by diaz since becoming a black belt, gsp cant lay and pray and he cant jab his way to a win against nick. btw matt hughes has subbed gsp and diaz destroys matt at bjj.
