This would be fight of the damn year. It's impossible for Nick Diaz to be involved in a boring fight, therefore we're pretty much guaranteed it can't be boring (gsp not in a boring fight?! Diaz is the solution).
Diaz would push St-Pierre in every way
Diaz is not a gentleman, is not respectful, and will not go through interviews patronizing everyone by saying he “respects” GSP’s skills. He will get in his face, be an ******, push his buttons, and instigate. I think GSP needs that, someone to light a fire in him because ever since he beat BJ Penn in their second fight, he’s been on cruise control. Diaz will push not just his body, but his mind as well.
I honestly think this is an intriguing match up and have thought that for some time.
If we break down the skills:
Striking/Boxing - Nick Diaz takes this. If you think GSP is going to out strike Diaz at this point, then you are honestly kidding yourselves. Diaz' combination punching is on another level. I'm really excited to see how GSP deals with Diaz' over whelming pressure and combination punching on the feet.
BJJ - Nick takes this. Slick, varied submissions from his back, always active and always aggressive.
Wrestling - GSP with ease, no explanation necessary. Although I do feel Nicks wrestling is highly under rated.
GSP has the strength advantage and the over all athleticism advantage too here.
GSP's top control is on another level, but I was shocked at how Georges' wanted no part of Shields ground game when he took him down. Shields has never been impressive from his back, yet GSP wanted no part of it.
GSP's wrestling and top control would probably be too much for Diaz to handle, but this has all the potential to be a great fight.

And Diaz would get handled easily. Unless, he poked GSP in the eye, then he might be able to land a jab or cross, depending on which eye he poked, to a Unanimous Decision loss. This Diaz queen is a joke. If he plans on staying successful, then he better stay in Strikeforce where he can beat up the other overrated nobodies.

Shields Boxing was terrible but even before the eye poke it was not like GSP was completely neutralizing Shields. Nick Diaz stand up is better than gsps all he needs is cancel gsp take-downs.

This fight does not interest me. Penn and Shields are far better grappler's than Diaz. Penn has far better Boxing and pretty much everyone GSP as fought had better wrestling. Diaz has nothing here, he is a weak wrestler and he isn't gonna get the sub from the bottom.

Penns BJJ from the bottom is far too defensive. Diaz has an aggressive guard, he's a lot bigger than BJ Penn, he has much better cardio than BJ Penn, believe it or not, he has better boxing than BJ Penn, he has a 3-4 inch reach advantage over BJ. There are lots of things which go in Diaz' favour here. Diaz is better from his back than Shields too.

Not very long ago, this forum was full of talk about Daley's "WORLD CLASS STRIKING"
Nick just might be mean enough to stay in GSP's face taunting him until he gets a little tired and makes a little mistake.
It could happen.
Wasn't Nick supposed to fight a pretty good wrestler next in strikeforce? I wonder if that had anything to do with him wanting to try boxing.

Kinda sounded like Nick was saying he would lose at the start? "Look what he did to my partner what do you think he would do to me?" or something along those lines at 40 secon ds in. I don't understand that statement lol.
Anyways sick of hearing Nick complain. GSP would take him down at will and pound on him for 5 rounds. If GSP actually boxed against Diaz he might lose, but he wouldn't.

He said look at what my partner did to GSP (referring to GSPS's busted up face), what do you think I would do to him?

This. I will be rooting hard for Diaz, so we can get another ballsy champ that has finishing abilities.
But you are right. GSP will hump him until the ref stands them up...then will get the TD again and repeat.
After watching GSP's striking vs. the worst striker in teh division I am fully confident that he can't stand with Diaz.
