For my degree I am a research paper on the question "Does Performance related pay within sporting industries have an effect upon the athletes mentality and work rate?" This basically means I can talk alot about MMA and its pay. For this paper I am trying to do a survey for fighters to answer. If you've ever fought professionally or as an amateur, even a single fight please answer these three questions with as many or few words as you like. It's MUCH appreciated.



1.If you were simply paid on your appearance without a win bonus, do you think that your gameplan would differ?

2.If you answered no to the previous question skip this. Would this change in gameplan likely lead to a less entertaining fight?

3.Would a large FOTN bonus as seen within the UFC, affect your mentality going into a fight and if the bonus is large enough, would it possibly change your priority of winning into putting on a FOTN performance?

Immensely. I would fight far safer if there want a win bonus. Far more productive to be safe and get the win then go balls out and get caught.

yes. If there's more incentive to win than to go balls out guns blazing, yes. This is, of course, said from the perspective of me already winning. If I'm losing and can't find a strategy to win, if still go all out to win . that's because I want to won though top advance, get bigger fights etc, not because of a bonus.

Yes and No. if I'm getting bettered, it would make me feel far more inclined to go for broke. If I'm winning I'm not going to let up to let the other guy make it competitive for a fotn
