Screw divisions, Screw sponsers, Screw business, Screw money, Screw managers, Screw weight.

You have the 2 best pound 4 pound fighters in the same era, same organization, relatively same size and same age.... and you idiots do not want to see this fight???? This is why MMA leapfrogged Boxing, because we could actually see the fights we dream about as opposed to having money hungry jack-offs getting in the way and ruining things for everyone. It is BS that we the fans are losing this fight for political reasons. If Dana pushed GSP. he would fight Anderson, and Silva has finally warmed up to the idea.

Not everyone wants to see this fight. In all likelihood it will either end with Anderson just being too big for GSP and making him look stupid, or we will have GSP laying on Silva for 25 minutes.

A overdemand number of people want to see it. It's only a very rear minority who doesn't.

And since Shogun got destroyed lately.. it's now again all GSP vs. Silva and rightfully so.

in reality GSP is too small for anderson. It would be an uphill battle for gsp where anderson would have the advantage from the get-go. GSP wouldn't put himself in that position at this stage in his career.

When did being a completely dominating Champion become not good enough anymore?

Now holding a belt is only so-so, to be respected you have to change weights and try for all the belts? It just seems strange all of a sudden that just holding the belt and dominating you weight class isn't good enough for fans anymore.

GSP will never fight Silva. He's afraid to stand with strikers because he's afraid of a repeat of Matt Serra. And there's no way in hell he'd be able to stand with Silva. And then there's the unknown of whether or not GSP would be able take Silva down and grind him out.

GSP has shown his hand. He's scared to face Silva.

I agree he is hesitant to take the risk, but it is more about losing money and his Welterweight title than it is being "afraid" to stand with Silva. His eye injury affected his stand up prowess against Shields... excuse or not, it happened and fighting with one eye is a valid reason.

St. Pierre can hang with Silva no problem by staying out of the danger zone and why anyone would think he would have a problem taking him down absolutely baffles me. This fight would mirror the Sonnen fight with the exception of GSP getting caught in a triangle. St.Pierre would likely inflict more damage than Sonnen did and might even get a stoppage with a cut from repeated elbows.

The end of the day, when Penn was Champion he had the balls to move up and face both Matt Hughes during his era, and GSP during his era, and he did't lose Money or the LW Belt, or respect for that matter when he lost to GreaseSP.

No fcuk it, GSP is just nothing but a little b1tch, first he cheats his way to the title, then he ducks out this fight we where promised, for every notch you can add to his legacy when he does something great you can take one away when he smiles in your face while he pisses on your shoes and tell you its raining.

I hope history shows the truth and gives higher respect to Penn than it does GSP because god knows he deserves it, in fact fcuk it I want Penn vs GSP instead, this time with no grease, I want Penn to be the man take GSP's legacy and make it his own, I want the history books to say GSP was a Liar and Cheat who ducked out of the Silva fight and that Penn was the man to do to him what he should have done to Siva, move up and dethrone him.

Fcuk Diaz sure bring him to the UFC why not give him a number one contender match against Ficth, Alves, Kos, Condit I really don't give a fcuk, just give us Penn vs GSP 3, especially now he has had good time to get his body ready for the WW division, before he moved up and was thrown straight in against GSP, it was a temporal weight change he had no chance to train at that weight, now he has had a couple of warm up fights at 170lb, he has had time to get used to moving and been at 170, he will be training at this weight, now Penn can be truly regarded as a true WW and not some guy who moved up weight just to take this fight, lets see what he can do now.

GSP has nothing to gain by doing this fight... and so much to lose. Right now he's considered one of the best fighters there is... and he can retire as one of the all time greats. Not only does he have his legacy... but he has a whole bunch of endorsement and business deals which rely upon him being "the best". He could lose a lot of that with one swift KO front kick to the face.

More than likely if they fought... Silva would just destroy him in a manner similar to how he usually finishes his fights... and GSP instead of being one of the all time greats will be remembered as that "guy" who got KO'd in some creative and crazy way.

GSP has too much to loose in taking this fight.

Everyone hating on GSP for not moving up is an idiot.

1. catch weight or no fight otherwise its just unfair.

2. Why is no one saying Silva needs to be at LHW when he has beaten everyone in the division at MW ?

3. GSP doesnt need the fight but Silva does.
