Why would Diaz be any different?

GSP has faced top level competition while Nick is fighting guys cut from the UFC. I like Nick as a fighter but can't see anything other than hype (or hope) as evidence Nick stands a chance. GSP won't strike with Nick. Nick's game off his back isn't strong enough to overcome GSP's top control. It might be a boring fight but it will be a clear GSP victory with more undefeated rounds.
well obviously i thought jake was gonna attempt a lot of tds but his logic went out the window, and i would bet heaps that nick would sub alves

Nick would get beaten by any top10 wrestler in the UFC. It's always the same hype & some peopl buy in to it "this guy will beat GSP, it's the perfect matchup" & every time they get raped. It's all hype & I don't buy it anymore.

The world thought Jake would do something... Other than the open handed hook (slap)

Diaz might sub Alves but the only way to find out is for Diaz to fight top competition inside the UFC. Alves, Fitch, Koscheck are all guys who could give Diaz huge issues or beat him. All of these guys have been decisively dominated by GSP. I want to see someone fight their way up to GSP as I'm sick of bringing in guys and trying to hype the fight only to have them fall flat and do nothing.

To be the champ you have to beat the champ you have to bring the fight to the champ not just hope that the champ takes a unnecessary risk as that is the only chance you have.

I personally would love to see GSP move up weight because I don't believe anyone at WW can bring the fight to him and push him.

I really don''t want to see this fight. GSP will derail another great streak in a very boring fashion. GSP needs to go, no offense to him, but he needs to challenge himself at MW, WW is over for him.

Agreed. The time is over for GSP at WW He needs to step up. All this talk about being a 'true martial artist' is non-sense unless you accept the challenge of stepping up to the next level.

Diaz vs Alves would make for a nice stand up fight. I think Alves would destroy Nicks' legs, but Diaz could bloody up Alves with his boxing.

This is just proper-gander there to distract us from the fact that GSP is ducking out of the Silva fight we where promised.

Why don't the UFC just take the Diaz vs GSP fight and shove it back up there ass, if they want to bring Diaz into the UFC then give him a contender fight like they did with Shields first, then if he wins give him the title shot, I am not saying never do I want to see this fight but, but just not right now.

Dana once said that Boxing was the one selling the fights the people don't want to see, well guess what Dana thats exactly what your trying to do here.

This , i cant see Diaz standing for more than 20 secs at the beginning of each round.

The fight will probably go down the root of Hardy / GSP except Diaz may make interesting with BJJ but i doubt anything will come of it.

I just want to ask one question to the Diaz supporters.

Do you think GSP could not have beaten Daley, Cyborg, Noons, Smith and Shamrock? Now are you nearly as confident in Diaz beating Penn, Fitch, Shields, Kos and Alves?

I am not convinced that Diaz could beat Hughes never mind GSP.

I agree. And I see Hughes vs Diaz looking pretty much like Hughes vs Serra.

Oh, I have no doubt that GSP is the better mixed martial artist. Diaz will still beat him though.

Diaz has the will of the warrior.
