Vitor belfort on superfight GSP vs Silva

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort has been giving his thoughts on the potential super fight between Georges St. Pierre and Anderson Silva, saying as far as he’s concerned if this ever comes to pass his fellow countryman will walk away a rather easy winner.

Posting via his Twitter page, Belfort said:

“If Anderson fights GSP, he will kill him. St Pierre fought out of rhythm and has no conditions to fight Anderson at all. Anderson is way better. The bout I want to see is Anderson vs Jon Jones.”

Belfort was stopped by Silva in the very first round in February in impressive fashion, receiving a front-kick to the face which dropped him to the canvas. With the arsenal of strikes and submissions at “The Spider’s” disposal does Belfort have a point or could Mr. Safe (aka GSP) pull off another decision win?

Poor Vitor got caught with a lucky kick ...

Eh this is his way of staying relevant, saying a fighter in a lower division is incapable of beating someone he just lost to.

I must agree though, the fight I want to see is JBJ v Silva.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig

Funny, we could use that same sentence and put it towards Vitor.

I just don't understand how people can't see the difference between the 'next big thing' and a guy who has proven him self over and over again. JBJ hasn't even had a title defense and you compare him with the nr 1 pound for pound fighter?

I'm not saying jbj can't defeat silva but im just saying it's unfair to give him such a opportunity so fast

No surprise here, not only do Brazilians always support each other but Belfort obviously doesnt want to admit he lost to an inferior fighter.
Realistically though GSP would beat Silva via Sonnening and Jon Jones is just too big for Anderson; he would also take him down at will with his peerless size and wrestling ability.

I have to agree with him - Anderson would kill GSP. GSP would need a crowbar to hurt Anderson.

I totally agree, GSP vs Anderson would be a ass whooping... GSP's face would be ALL f'ed up! And just might end in a TKO/KO

Now Anderson vs JBJ is something i want to see! As crazy as it is, i would be putting money on JBJ to win that fight, but i will still say Anderson is still p4p best fighter UNTIL proven otherwise! Thats why this fight needs to happen!

I think I'd take JBJ, too. Wonder who would be favored? I bet it would be pretty close odds.

A Brazilian says that a fellow Brazilian who just brutally knocked him out in the 1st would kill a fighter from a lighter weight class? Who would've thought.
