Wikipedia showing Machida / Vera in UFC Rio

Would be a harder match up than it sounds for Machida if true - styles / fights ....

Off hand I cant think who else there is to match up with Machida if he wants to fight in Rio.

Hard...nah. I think Machida will kill him. Vera just isn't all that talented. Good for Machida on his quest for the title to get some more rounds.

I think Vera should get someone like Matyushenko.

Who has vera beat to get this shot, Hes on a losing streak. I mean give machida a fight that has some sort of respect behind it.

It has already been removed. MMA pages get vandalized on wikipedia a lot. Brandon Vera should be fighting mid to low tier LHWs, certainly not Machida on one of the bigger cards of the year. Always check for a source on wikipedia

Damn, I hope it's not Vera. Machida gets nothing out of beating him and if he loses which could happen since Vera is a great muay thai fighter and its MMA, that would suck.

Vera's page says hes fighting Machida in Rio while Machida's page currently says he is fighting Rashad in Rio. Vera is coming off 2.5 loses in a row so there should be no way that happens....and Evans schedule doesnt seem to fit that either.

Whats next for Machida is kind of interesting as it doesnt seem like theres many options open for him....guys like Shogun and Rampage have already beat him while guys like Griffin, Matyushenko and Hamill seem like a step below. While were all talking about GSP and Diaz would it be too ridiculous to suggest Machida fight Henderson next?

Vlad vs Machida would be interesting.

Vera will definitely get cut after he loses to Machida. But I would like to see this fight actually.

Cyrile Diabate would be interesting, but he's still on the lower end of the spectrum.

That really only leaves a handful of fighters; Lil Nog, Phil Davis, Bader.
