Machida would make Jones look silly in there, cause he most likely has to strike with Lyoto for the majority of time if not all the time and there is just an extraordinary gap between the two.

Lyoto by stoppage midway!

It's amusing to me that people continue to buy into the God-like hype surrounding MMA fighters.

Jones would 'smash' Machida... sure.

Machida and Rashad are the two toughest tests for Jones, so I'll reserve some judgement until these fights happen.

Machida and Rashad both have attributes which Jones hasn't faced yet, not at that level. It will be interesting to see if one of these guys can crush the hype.

Jones has taken guys who have barely half the skills of Machida, to decision, so why all of a sudden is Machida easy pickings?

MMA hype - you've got to love it

I just thought about this.. Rashad got a Title Shot after two lame decisions.. I think Lyoto is more then ready after one more fight

Crane Kick makes him skip at least 1

What? Jon Jones has 2 decisions, and that was 2-3 years ago, and he's only been fighting since 2008. Why would you dig so far back on a fighter's record? Jones has destroyed all his recent opponents. I don't think anyone has any room to discredit Jon Jones by saying he's hype. You were saying the same type of things when he fought Shogun, and looked what happened with that...

100% agreed. Nothing worse than a hype machine. Jon Jones is a very talented fighter, but i'm about 70% sure Machida would beat him and 55% sure than Rashad could take him.

With Machida, Jon Jones weakness in his striking would be fully exposed because if there is one thing that's overrated about Jon Jones, it's his striking. Flashy and unorthodox striking doesn't make you a match for the Anderson Silvas and Machidas out there.

Rashad would force Jon Jones to fight off his back and potentially the striking area.

I think Jones would have the advantage in this fight. His reach, his pure athleticism, and his awkward striking angles and strikes would give Machida some issues. I won't say Jones would smash Lyoto, but I think Jones gives Machida more problems than Machida gives Jones.

Lyoto is possibly Jones' worst match up but it doesn't mean Jones won't still win. I see Jones taking it definitively.

What? Rashad got and Still has a title shot after only 2 lame decision wins, which he almost lost in the third, in both fights.

If that applys to Rashad.. why not too The Karate Kid, Cranke Kick Master?

Jones has 3 years of striking experience.. he would be a fish out of water against The Dragon.
