Prospect card!

so, i was thinking why doesnt the UFC do a ppv with prospects vs top 5 guy OR a prospect vs a proven veteran

now i know some will say this is MMA and not WWE and ''we dont need gimmicks, ladders and fake blood man!'' yeah, ok i get that, but i think it would be fun to have a card filled with great prospects that have a lot of hype and potential against veterans or top guys in their division

now hold on also, im not saying to just throw in a rookie with a top guy just so he gets squashed and ends any momentum he had, im saying get guys that are 5-0 in the UFC, that are beating top 15 guys easily and are starting to get hyped, guys like phil davis or JBJ before the shogun fight

take them, and if they want put them on a ''prospect card'' so they would have a chance to break out earlier and see if they are good enough to beat top 5 guys or veterans and see if they arent just hype

i realize we already get this but streched out, but it would still be fun to watch, its like the HW GP tournament that strikeforce is doing, its not really a tournament, just a guide line of contenders, its still fun

so for example when oliveira fought miller and davis fighting rashad now those would be fun fights to see on the card

if the fighter loses it just means he isnt there yet, but if he wins he gets shot up ''the ladder''

obviously it would be impossible to put all great prospects on 1 card because of timing, injurys, bookings, but if at least a couple were free to throw in one card i think it would be an awesome ppv

anyway...good? bad? terrible idea? should i leave the forum?

stay on the forum please, but keep your day job and let Joe Silva make the matches

We get to see prospects vs vets quite often, maybe not as often as we would hope, but a prospects card isn't the way to solve that imho. I think for some reason putting gimmick cards together or putting names on brackets just seems to make things we already get "sexier". usually people are clamoring for fighters to be "brought along" i.e. taking fights with opponents ranked similar to them as they progress up the rankings, for a long time until they are ready to break through to the top 10, like Cain vs Big Nog, Davis vs Little Nog, Johnson vs Koscheck or Story vs Alves.

Also I've noticed that some fighters like Condit and Fitch are making a career out of giving some really exciting WW prospects their first UFC losses.
