Ben Henderson is an elite lightweight. I mean, he as the champ at WEC and only lost a close decision to another elite fighter. I give him a chance against anybody at lightweight right now (there really are too many great lightweights). I mean he really is very well rounded and has a great pace and gas tank.
There's nobody he matches up against who I think has a real stylistic advantage over him. Maybe Frankie has the speed and TD defense?
His performance at 129 wasn't anything surprising. One should have expected him to beat Bocek by virtue of the fact that Henderson is both the better athlete and the more rounded mixed martial artist. Bocek's grappling is good, but he's never gone up against somebdy (and won), who could stop it from going to the ground, or once it got there, have the escape ability for it not to matter.
