To be honest I have no interest in Dan Hardy. He's over hyped beyond belief, without ever really being in that many exciting fights or beating anyone good.

He's not a top mixed martial artist, he's not even particularly good at his one dimension, I struggle to see any appeal.

He really did talk himself into the spotlight and was helped by the UFC hype machine, mainly because he is British. I don't buy any of it though, there's a ton of other welterweights I'd rather see fight than this guy.

Disagree with this, HIf Hardy was hyped it was because he was fighting for the championship - should the UFc not hype him up? Also it's been discussed to death why he got the title shot and it's fairy unanimous that there was no other candidate at that stage so i suppose GSP should have sat out UFC 111 and scratched his arse instead.

Did you not enjoy his fights with Davis and Swick? Both excellent wars in my view, unpopular Stateside maybe because it was the wrong outcome for them.

If Hardly wants someone to stand and trade, then why doesn't he Box or Kick Box? Let's face it, he knows he's not good enough at the stand up to fight in an only stand up sport. He chooses MMA, where he hopes he finds a ground guy with stand up that is less mediocre than his. I say give him John Howard, or better yet, Ellenberger. Either fight, especially Ellenberger, would make him regret asking for a stand up war and hopefully get him cut.

I like Hardy, but he is the definition of a "Middle of the Pack" Fighter who just got hot at the right time.
