Kind of funny how some people actually though he was going to beat GSP....the guy can't beat anyone with wrestling, and he actually has mediocre striking as well.

When i read this is thought..................Nick Diaz.

If i were Dan hardy i would talk to Dana and beg him to transfer me to Strikeforce.

Hardy is on a 3 fight losing streak in the UFC; he dropped a loooooooooooong way in te WW rankings. He's miles away from the top atm. And the way the UFC division is looking like, he has MINUS chances of being a top contender again.

But....the SF WW division is the weakest division in all of MMA.

If he jois SF he becomes a TIP contender instantly. If Cyborg got a title shot, Hardy will to.

Plus: he says he wants a fighter willing to tade punches?!?!
That's Nick Diaz right there.

Hardy should hype this fight like it was the end of the world. And he should be willing to fight or free also, just so he could get this fight.

It would be the perfect fight for him, a WIN-WIN fight for him.

.

BELIEVE!

Why don't these RoughHouse guys quit whining and bring in some serious wrestling coaches. Hell even the guys they got don't know what the F*** they are doing. Before Daley fought Kos they showed him working on his wrestling and I was baffled because he was training against the cage like he was preparing for the single leg drag him down type wrestler ala Fitch or Shields with some old guy rather than training to face the explosive double of Kos. WTF were they thinking?

Daley and Hardy just try to challenge there opponents ego in an attempt to get them to prove something. Maybe its time to find a way to keep the fight standing without relying on your opponent to forget the massive gaps in your skill set.

I will say this at least unlike Daley, Hardy has at least taken steps to work towards the point were he is not incompetent off of his back anymore. Hardy has shown that he has a decent guard and can at least attempt to threaten off his back.

Especially now, Lytle is at the end of his run and you know he wants that one title shot before he calls it a career.

Paul Daley can wrestle. He has good take down defense and alright take downs of his own.

Getting taken down by Josh Koscheck in wrestle mode is nothing to be ashamed off, kos could do that to most of the division if he wanted to.

Dan Hardy's take down defense on the other hand is pretty damn awful.

Hardy has been taken down by Rumble , GSP and BRIEFLY Marcus Davies.

Thats nothing to go by on his take down defence , what concerns me and i think everyone has pointed it out is the fact he is so one dimensional.

You can just watch those take-downs and know he doesn't have good take-down defense. He doesn't pummel for underhooks, he doesn't sprawl out, he doesn't pivot to the side, he basically does nothing. It's sort of like he pulls guard when anyone goes for a double.

Compare that to say, Alves vs. Fitch II. Sure Fitch got him down, but it was a hell of a struggle and Alves would stuff a double a single then get taken down by a throw.
