I wont disagree that we haven't seen is full stuff yet....
But the real deal??? ummm besides Joe Riggs, he has went to a decision against Diaz (who when you see fight Gomi, you will see how "good" Diaz is) Karo, who isn't bad, but not a great fighter, and Alessio who really hasn't beat really great people...
So, real deal? that still has to be decided ... lol the jury is still out on this one....
i need to see him fight someone that can take him to the limit and see how he does.
Karo not a great fighter? What drugs are you smoking? Hes lost to 2 title holders 3 times, and barely lost to Diego in a fight that I personally thought he won. I wont argue with you that hes the best because I dont think he is but to even hint that hes mediocre is crazy.
And seriously, why are you naming Kenny Florian? He's solid, but his one big win is over Sam Stout. Hardly someone who compares to Hironaka.
Joe Riggs is hit or miss. You sometimes see a good fighter, and then you see a terrible fighter. I am not taking away Diego's win, though. That was a pretty cool KO.
Koscheck was green as grass when he fought Diego. Still, it was a really good fight. We'll see what happens in the rematch.

Karo is really good. Not goin' to argue there.
Diaz lost a split decision to Hironaka 5 years ago.. gimme a break. Just adds to the huge list of splits Diaz has lost, doesn't say much to me. I only say Florian because he is a tough guy and always comes up to fight, I agree with all the things you're saying I just think no one else has faced the opposition that Sanchez has.
Oh, I'm not taking anything away from Diego's win against Diaz. Diaz is a really good fighter, and was ranked in the top 10 when he faced Diego. Sanchez has faced 2 really tough fighters, and he did very well against them. That's pretty impressive. You could throw in the Riggs fight if you'd like. Diego didn't even budge when he & Riggs traded those huge punches.
As hit or miss as Rigg can be, Sanchez looked great when he took a HARD shot to the eye and didn't think twice about charging Riggs and knocking him out with the running knee.
What will it take for Diego to get respect? What do you guys expect for him to do to get "tough" competition. He is under contract with the UFC so its not like he can go make his own fights. He fights who he is told to fight and has looked impressive everytime. I am sure he would gladly fight both Hughes and GSP if given the opportunity. I dont think he could overcome GSP right now but I certainly dont think he would get worked. He deserves to be in title contention and hopefully soon he will be given the opportunity to show that.

I truly respect Diego, but he didn't look so great to me when he took that shot. If he hadn't knocked Riggs down with his punch, Diego would have been on the defensive for sure. Even after the match, he was with his corner for a few minutes and you could tell he was very concerned and his eye was really bothering him.
