Yes, Diego is the real deal. In my mind he can beat anyone at WW except GSP. A fight with Hughes would be a toss up in my mind. BJ could probably beat him, but I'm assuming he is at LW right now.

Alessio deserved that win over Diego. Matt Hughes would beat Diego's azz. Hughes is much stronger and better than Diego on the ground. B.J Penn in my opinion is the worst match up for Diego. Just better than Diego overall. GSP's reach would keep Diego at a bad position to get in close especially with his sprawl kicks and strikes. Diego is a dream thats not going to happen folks. He is just a T.V show winner. Thats it. He doesn't have a chance against any of the three fighters. Dana White keeps him away from the big fights so he can string along some of you people who have such great hope for Diego.

So, you actually think running away from your opponent, and not doing a whole lot constitutes as winning? Diego atleast did something in that fight.

Diego beat up Karo. That's tough to do.

And he doesn't seem to lose energy. He finishes matches at an energy level like it's the first round.

Eeven if you suck, but you can get past two rounds and your higher skilled opponent is winded, you will own him if you can push him with your superior cardio.

When you're trying to fill your lungs with air and your opponent is coming 110 MPH, you are deep water with no paddle.

I think that's Diego's greatest asset. Coupled with very good skills, heart, dedication, faith, and a strong will to win, he's going to be hard to beat.

Some guys may have more skill now, like possibly Hughes. St, Pierre, and Penn, but Diego looks like he wants it. He'll make for some interesting match ups.

This guy is crazy tough. the only thing i don't like about him is when he gets into the ring, he does stupid things woth his hands, but then he uses those hands and throughs bombs and has more energy then the energizer bunny

To be honest I really didn't care what you said till you said this. He may have won a TV show comp but it's not like "Wheel of Forture" or anything. To think that some of the guys to come out of TUF were just there for ratings would be a mistake. Diego worked his butt off on that show and puts his heart and soul into every fight he's ever had. (If I sound like a Nuthugger so be it).


To say Dana was keeping Diego away from big fights is a total mistake. Like any fighter he had a few middle matches but his last two were agianst Karo Parisyan and Joe Riggs two good well-rounded UFC fighters. As it stands Karo and Kos are two fighters that are right behind Diego on the waiting list for belt contention.
