One question: how high is Nick Diaz during the fight?

I think Diaz wins the fight if you let him take some bong hits in the back before the fight, he'll test positive but he'll pull off an inverted gogoplata or TKO Penn using his stoner boxing. If he has to pass a drug test then BJ should win the fight without too much trouble.

If they were the same size I would pick BJ Penn, because overall he's the better skilled fighter. But when you take into account the height advantage (5'9 compared to 6'0), reach advantage (which Nick uses really well), and endurance factor I have Nick edging over. BJ is know to lose a bit of heart if he isn't dominating his opponent, and Nick's the opposite. Both have similar skills sets (Boxing, weak wrestling, good BJJ), but you have to add in all the other intangebles. Not to mention that I believe Penn peaked 2-3 years ago, and Nick is now peaking.

Would that be BJ's weak wrestling that has given him almost legendary TD defense or the weak wrestling he used to out wrestle the former captain of the Purdue wrestling team and NCAA Divsion 1 wrestler?

Good point and you are right. Weak wrestling is a big term that doesn't apply. The only reason I said that is because he rarely uses it (exception being TDD which is great at) and I don't see him using it with Nick. He'll stand a bang, which is his strongest point anyway IMO.

Man I really like both these fighters but i see the fight going like this

First half of round ONE, kinda even standing, Diaz does his drop the hands taunting, bj says who the **** do you think you are in here with, then bj spends the rest of the match licking blood off his gloves

seriously see this as kind of more even then most do until diaz taunts bj.

now that i think about it i really want to see this fight for i think that is the kind of thing bj needs right now

Really? I think his BJJ is his strongest point by a mile. BJ has good hands and a decent flying knee, but his BJJ is literally world class. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he subbed Diaz at all, although I think the sub would come from rocking Diaz in the stand up and following him to the ground. A non rocked Diaz's BJJ I think is enough to stay away from being finished. Although I think BJ would control the ground game and stay active through out.
