Ditto. I like both guys as well, this news was actually heartening for me.

Now hopefully Lesnar has time to work his standup and maybe get a mid-level fight for his comeback, while JDS can smash through Carwin and Cain in two very exciting fights.

I'm happy to see either fight, both are interesting to me for different reasons.

I know this is wishful thinking but... maybe by time Lesnar is ready to fight again the Strikeforce HW tournament will have sorted itself out. Then Lesnar could fight the runner up for the next shot after the winner of the tournament takes on winner of JDS/Carwin Vs Cain!

Maybe thats confusing, but would mean Lesnar gets a top HW on his return and then the division would be lots of fun again!

JDS vs Carwin...i wanna see JDS fight someone who can actually take a punch and not go into *turtle mode* straight after being hit.

This fight is more appealing...at least imo.

IMO, JDS vs Carwin will be more interesting. With Carwin more willing to stand and bang with JDS than Lesnar would have. Though, like people have said, if Carwin's stone fists even only flicks the chin of JDS, it could be trouble. In JDS's previous fight against Nelson, JDS did take a few shots, granted he did give a lot to Nelson. Carwin has poor cardio imo, his fight against Brock, he was gassing within 2nd round, but that may be due to him striking the shit out of Brock. I think JDS should turn the heat up on Carwin and try to gas him. JDS will look to body shot and counter punch with his speed and accuracy.

JDS via TKO 1st/2nd round.

JDS vs Lesnar is the better fight, it tests both fighters at their weakness and gives us the answer we have been asking a long time, how good is JDS off his back?

JDS vs Carwin. I'd hate to see Cain vs Lesnar 2, even though I think JDS would beat Lesnar. I'm not interested in a Cain potentially rematching Lesnar so shortly after destroying him. I think Brock needs a few more fights first and Cain deserves a new challenge.

I prefer JDS vs. Carwin though either fight is fine with me. I'm just glad they found a decent replacement fight instead of giving JDS some can or someone who doesn't deserve to be in a contender fight. Carwin is a good replacement and in my opinion is better than Lesnar. I know he gassed in the last fight but granted your first title shot can make you do stupid things.

I think this is a more interesting turn of events.

Either fight is ok with me but to stick to the reality I do hope that Carwin has improved his gas...

The interesting thing is Junior has been game planning for Brock for a long time now, and Brock and Carwin are extremely similar in fighting style. But Carwin has what? A month to game plan for JDS?

I hope to god Carwin can put JDS on his back at least once in this fight, but I'll bet good money that he doesn't even get close to taking Cigano down.

I vote JDS vs. Lesnar. It is a slightly more interesting match up for me because we havn't really seen JDS get tested on the ground and I think Lesnar can do that. It would also let us know a bit about how he would fair versus a superior wrestler in Cain. Don't get me wrong I still think Carwin vs. JDS is a sweet match, I just feel like th outcome of that fight is na lot easier to predict. JDS tko, round 2.

Good point. I would still rather watch Lesnar vs. JDS but JDS vs Carwin has better implications for a title fight.
