I wish Ken would have won just because I hate Tito, but I think the stop was correct. At first I did not understand entirely why it was stopped, but the replays showed how much of power had hit him in the face. His arms were out to the side, and after the first elbow his guard opened and his legs dropped. Even if he had gotten out of the elbows, he would be completely dazed and fatigued, while Tito was on a huge rush of confidence. I don't think Ken had a chance against Ortiz's ground and pound.

Don't blame Dean for the quick stoppage. Blame Shamrock for his lame ground defense and employment of his head as a punching bag for Tito's elbows. Tito said afterwards that he had probably chipped some bones in his elbow while raining down the pain. What do you think Shamrock's skull must be feeling right about now

yea i agree the fight was stopped a little too soon. but what's the difference anyway that fight would have went maybe another 10 seconds with a different ref. we all knew shamrock was gunna get his ass beat. there should definatly not be a 3rd fight. tito has to move on with his carrer and focus on getting a title shot.

Shamrock has poor ground defense as witnessed in their first fight. Shamrock better kiss Dean's feet for stopping this when he did or he might have been waking up this morning in a hospital room with permanent brain damage Tito owns Shamrock.
Sounds to me like Tito owns some of the post-ers on here. Compare what happened to Yves Edwards v. Joe "Daddy" Stevenson to what happened to Shamrock-Ortiz...

The matchup I want to see in UFC 62 is Herb Dean v. "Big" John McCarthy....It could happen.

But I expected someone to be injured since its such an intense and the biggest rivalry and feud ever. I thought someone would come out of this match retiring or on a strecher. People said Shamrock was going to retire after this match but I don't think he will. He will probably have a third match against Tito, blah, blah same story Ken.

You may want to pay attention to the fights next time around. The difference between these two matches was that Yves was actually defending himself with his arms and countering some of Joe's offensive moves. The cut on the top of his head actually made the fight look worse than it was. Yves face was hardly injured at the end while Shamrock was near defenseless and being pummeled with no response (his arms weren't even up to block incoming elbows). Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the difference between these two confrontations
