Why isn't Schaub calling out his contemporaries in Struve, Morecraft, or Russow? Why does he feel he needs to face who are at the end of their careers. Does he think this is WWE and being a "Legend Killer" is going to make him a superstar?
Who would you rather have on your resume? Cro Cop or Struve or Morecraft?

Whose higher in the rankings? Nog or Russow?

It's working for Schaub, weather they're at the end of their career or not, knocking out Big Nog will get you a lot further than knocking out Mike Russow, KO'ing Cro Cop will get you closer to the title than knocking out Christian Morecraft.

The hate is instead of taking on one of the other bright prospects like Morecraft or Russow or stepping in to face Struve at 128 Schaub wants yet another easy fight in Nog. Instead of facing someone who is equal in skills and having a good or great fight he wants yet another opponent he can easily beat to raise his profile in the UFC.

If he looked good in his fights against Gonzaga and Cro-Cop you would have a point, but those weren't good fights. Schaub was very passive, he worked the range and he didn't really go for the finish until he caught CC in the third, and as I recall it was CC that was aggressive. He isn't Dos Santos and fighting an impressive array of guys on his way up the ladder, he isn't Carwin knocking people out, he isn't the prodigy Cain was. He's a middle of the road HW who is trying to pad his resume and people hate him for it.

Yeah, I understand what people are saying, but this is an opportunity for Schaub, and he's making the most of it, you can't fault for the guy for that. Right or not, he's found the quickest way to the top.

our timing is so off. At the end of the day it's about respect if you are going for short cuts and if you are going to put on boring fights don't expect the fans to respect you. Who knows after he beats Nog maybe he'll call out Tito or Randy that would up his profile even more.

Personally i think Cro Cop should retire already and Schaub will send Nog into retirement as well. It's time for fresh faces in the HW division, and if i were in Schaub's shoes i would want to fight on the Rio card too (who wouldnt???)
Because he is an arrogant sod who continues to talk himself up at every opportunity without ever backing it up, and disrespected Mirko by saying he was going to end his carrer. He's just annoyingly overconfident and has no reason to be, he got KTFO by Big Country and recently had a pretty lackluster performance against CroCop. As for Gonzaga... look what Randy did to that guy, Schaub aint nothing.

He is no way near as good as he thinks he is and was having problems with CroCop until he landed a punch that would make any fighter not worn from a carrer of fighting laugh in his face.

Meathead vs Schaub please, let's see Mitrione take a few to give one.. Schaub hasn't got a chin that can deal with HW punches.

I have no real problem with Schaub, but I also have no interest in him. Washed up or not, Cro Cop vs. Big Nog is ten times more appealing, and from a business perspective, it's ten times more marketable. Let these two legends of the sport go out on a high note... I don't see how a throw back fight, where two old lions would give their best one more time, is 'WWE like' at all. MMA can't be nostalgic?

Gonzaga, Cro Cop... and Nogueira?

I'd rather see Schaub fight Pat Barry or Frank Mir.

Was going to say Mitrione, but he's fighting Morecraft at UFC Live on June 26th.
