The conspiracy theory is taken a couple steps too far, however, I do believe there is some truth to it. The Einemo v Carwin fight made absolutely no sense. Carwin goes from the interim HW champ, coming off a loss in the unifying bout, to fighting a relatively inexperienced guy that hasn't had an MMA match in 5 years. Booking this fight got Carwin into training camp, so he can fill that gas tank for 5 minutes in Vancouver.
Meanwhile, JDS is training for a #1 contenders bout, an opportunity that he can't afford to lose. His back is up against the wall, being a foreigner that speaks poor english, and that has little clout in the UFC, because he's never held a belt in a major organization or owned any crazy fan following. Knowing JDS's position, as a Brazilian badass and coming off his TUF run, the UFC knew he would accept any opponent.
I do believe that Lesnar is suffering from diverticulitis again, and that we'll see him in the cage again, which would disprove the original theory. Brock has the will to fight, and to avenge his embarrassing loss to Cain(good luck with that). My guess is that he got sick while filming TUF, or shortly thereafter. As far as the UFC's intentions of putting Brock on TUF... he's the BEST PPV draw that UFC has, they would have him fighting all the time if they could.
Regardless of which theory is correct, or that one exists at all, we have more intriguing matchup, that we should be thankful for. JDS v Carwin could potentially overtake Diaz v Daley as the best one round of MMA that we've seen this year.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."
