Florian

Tuf 1 runner up
Fought at 4 weights (once he has fought at 144)
15 fights in the UFC
Finshes more than 90% of fights
2 time title contender
One of the faces of MMA, commentates on ESPN MMA Live etc

Mendes

1 fight in the UFC
Finishes only 40% of fights
Thats about it

Florian vs Aldo is by far the more marketable fight and to be honest if Florian isn't hurt by the cut, then a much harder fight for Aldo.

To be fair, Florian probably will be a better fight just for the simple fact that I believe Aldo will completely tool Mendes, although the Mendes fight would be interesting now because after seeing Aldo on the ground for the first time in his last fight I don't think wrestlers are going to be worried much about taking him down, where as because there may have been concerned over the hype of his BJJ game, but that been said I still think this fight would be kept standing and turn in an easy win for Aldo, where as Florian would be a much harder test such he be on form.

But the fact Florian has been out with injury for a while and this will be his first fight at 145lb god knows Mendes is the more deserved of the 2 fighters.

Come to think I would sooner Florian have a come back fight first, look at Shogun on his return, Belfort on his, in Shoguns case a little different since he was champ so facing No.1 contester is just an unfortunate hazard of a returning from injury champ, but I am starting to think that fighters returning from injury should not be straight given title shots, even if you whee the No.1 contender before been injured, which is not the case for Kenny since its a totally different division.

Florian vs Nunes is still on, if he gets a titleshot it would be his second fight back.

If your a casual fan and dont look outside the UFC for decent fights or fighters then fair play, but don't go around supporting actions that have had negative effects on the rest of the sport outside the UFC and resulted in negative impacts on the sport as a whole just because you personally where not interested in it without a UFC name tag.

And you accuse me of not supporting the lower weights, when obviously you never supported them without a UFC name tag, now thats fcuked up.
