Almost forgot to answer my own question.

I could see Chuck coming out early and getting some decent shots in and stuffing Hendos takedowns. As the fight would progress however I imagine Chuck would tire himself out by going for the kill at the end of some vicoius exchages and having to deal with Hendos relentless takedown attempts. The fifth round would be all Hendo as that is when he would score his only takedown of the fight on a completely gassed but still winging Chuck and ground and pound him till the buzzer a 10-8 round.

Iceman by UD 48-46

Both men looking as bad as they ever have.

I've sat through the entire Gracie Sakuraba fight... can I consider myself a hardcore MMA fan yet?

Dan is a much better striker than Tito, Couture, Jeremy Horn and Babalu, Chuck didn't face a decent striker for years until he fought Rampage again.

Chuck didn't really fight a guy with heavy hands when he was Champ and Dan has always had the better chin, from his first fight with Wanderlei to even now when he took that bomb from Feijao. Dan may not be as technical as Chuck but with Dan all it takes is one punch. I would have bet on Hendo five years ago if they would have fought in their primes, a shame they didn't.

Maybe not when he was champ but come on Mezger had like 10 MMA knock outs (would have more but competed mostly in Pancrase with open palm strikes) almost 20 in kick boxing and another 40 in full contact Karate. I think that classifies him as having heavy hands. He also beat Vitor Belfort and Alistair Overeem.

Ah, yeah I forget he beat Overeem in PRIDE, and I wasn't watching MMA back when Mezger was around so I don't know if he was good or not, he was probably good during his time, but I would still favor Henderson over Liddell, though, I've always thought he's had the better chin.

Hendo may have had the better chin but he also has a nasty habit of letting people test it.

Just a quick thought has there ever been a fight where people were questioning, even doubting whether Chuck could finish a fight?

Thinly veiled poke at GSP I assume? Looks like we have a dual account holder. One of which has to be Alizio

Now hendo would kill him.

In chucks prime, chuck would beat hendo. I have my doubts about KO in 3 rounder, in a 5 maybe.. Hendo likes to get hit on the chin and chuck is quite a better striker.

Just to clarify to a prime Couture and even Tito were far better technical strikers than Hendo. They may not have had Dan's one punch knock out power but they were more technical than those looping bombs Hendo throws. Dan Henderson has such overrated striking all of a sudden. People are drinking the SF Kool Aid with this H-Bomb crap. This is the same guy who lost to Rampage and lost to Anderson Silva. Its also the same guy who was gifted a decision against Franklin.

Nope, more of a compliment to Hendo's granite chin.

However I do dislike GSP, but if you want to take it as a JAB at GSP go ahead, lord knows that's all he will do back
