I don't think he's done, he could put together a few wins and get another title shot before hanging it up. Considering that he just came off a great performance where he wasn't even touched, I think his new style and camp (Firas Zahabi MMA) is going to take his game to the next level. He never really fought with a plan before, he just relied on his skills and reactions.

No way. The dude was beating Bowels soundly before he got caught. Benavidez, in addition to just being a beast, just caught him clean with that guillotine and over powered him.
The only guy I don't see him beating in the division is Cruz. Cruz is a ******* monster.

This thread baffles me. A little over two years ago (and two losses ago) he was top dog, including a lot of people's p4p list. Now after losses to two top guys, he's done? Baffling.

Wow I'm surprised after such a dominant career and a clear change in style that people are jumping so fast off the Miguel Torres Bandwagon.
I guess I'm in the minority with a couple others here in the belief that Miguel is far from done.
I think he has more "elite" competition than ever before in his division, but I think he's still got a great chance to win the title again.
He hits harder than most at 135, has better reach, and his submission skills are near the top, not to mention he has the intangibles and unpredictability to make him a threat to anyone in the division.
I think the biggest challenge for him moving forward is that most of the toughest challengers in the division are wrestlers which I think is Torres biggest weakness.
Never the less, I am absolutely shocked at the amount of people doubting Miguel Torres, considering his former dominance and new approach (albeit less "exciting") to fighting.
I think he's got the tools to beat anyone in the division, with Faber being his toughest test.

I'm going to keep my reply simple: he is most certainly not done.

Another thing, I'd LOVE to see Torres go to 145 or even 155... he's scrawny as shit at 35.

he was recently quoted as saying:
1) he doesn't care about fighting for the championship belt anymore
2) he doesn't fight to impress anybody
he's done in my book

Benavidez outclassed him on the ground. apart from a few armbar attempts he was just unable to do anything.
The guy will never be top dog again.
