UFC 130 Should it have been free or Worth the Buy!!

:confused02::confused02::confused02:Should tonights PPV should have been a free a event on spike for the ppl at home or at bars. We seen some good fights but the card seem that is should have been free for some reason. Personally I can speak because im here live but even for what its worth I felt that It should have been a open event and free due to all the changes with this event!!

People will complain because Rampage didn't get the knock out, that's their fault for assuming Hamill was a push over, the fact is he's not elite, but he's far from a bad fighter.

I enjoyed the event, not the best in the world but I did enjoy it, Alves losing sucked but it is what it is, worth the money in my opinion atleast.

ill say that hamill vs jackson felt like a middle of the card fight and it was the main event, it may have been ppv worthy if the title fight wasnt disrupted

This was a very weak event. OTOH, I feel really comfortable missing future events and just going out and having fun.

The UFC, post-merger is looking pretty dull. Same thing happened to WWE after they absorbed WCW and ECW.

Spec0688 05-29-2011 12:46 AM

It's not the best event but certain people didn't come ready to fight. Roy Nelson gassed practically at the end of round one, and Hamil was backing up and shooting in the a TD the whole fight.

YOUgotTKO 05-29-2011 12:46 AM

Yeah theres nothing like seeing a knockout live and the alves fight was a downner but got give up for the other guy he came in more hungry!!

They didn't promote the fight like they do some of the bigger cards, for a reason. You usually see the promo all the time leading up to the fight, this time that wasn't the case. Dana and them know whats up, and don't put a ton of money behind a lower tier card. Save some in advertisment to make up for the lower ppv buys.

But to say the UFC is worse post merger? That's just crazy talk. You'll always get a bad card here and there, we've just been blessed with so many exciting cards lately, that these stand out as being sub par.

Hamill-Jackson was not a Main Event fight but the rest of the card was decent. You never know what will you will get with a fight card. Some of the biggest billed fight cards don't live up to the hype and others are much better than what people thought they would be.

It's fighting so you never know what you will get each time.

I bought this card when I thought I might not and I'm not disappointed.

Idk I enjoyed it...

It had

1 An American Hero win via TKO on Memorial Day weekend
2 An upset I didn't see coming
3 A superman punch KO
4 A fat guy

Sounds like quality TV to me :thumb02:

of course its easy to say it should b free in hindsight (now that u found it lackluster) but some of the best PPVs have come from cards with little star power like tonights

Never really understood how ppl could come to the conclusion the fans would benefit from it when most of the fighters outside of the HWs would just be journeymen in the ufc..Lookin at everyones favourite stud that hadnt lost since heavens knows when.Comes to ufc and practically loses to kampman then gets beat by a one eyed greaser..
