It seems it will be discussed 1,001 times.
During the interview with The Voice, Miller explained he thought it was okay to get into the cage because no one stopped him. Its clear in one of the videos of the brawl that he walked right past a security guard who did nothing.
Miller also explains that he didn't mean to jump into Shields' interview by being in the camera's view. There were two cameras in the cage, one pointed at both Shields and whats his name--the interviewer/commentator everyone hates--and the other which was a tight shot of Shields' face. Miller thought that the tight shot camera was the one being used. And once he realized his mistake he was already in the shot and had ruined the interview, so he went with why he'd entered the cage anyway. His reasoning was to set up a rematch, since by defeating Henderson Shields had effectively cleared out the division and Miller came closer to defeating Shields than anyone other than Henderson in years.
If you watchg Miller's interview with The Voice this is all explained quite lucidly, for Mayhem that is! And frankly the 1,001th time this has been debated isn't worth me taking the time to wade through a 40 minute interview.
Fact is Miller (as a fighter, not a gate crasher) is greatly underrated, mostly because he wasn't in the UFC. Say what they want about objectivity, there are precious few top fighters listed on these sites not in the UFC.
